ArmorText has announced the launch of Field Notes, its inaugural user conference set to take place on May 27 in New York City. The invite-only event will bring together customers and select cybersecurity leaders to exchange real-world insights on securing critical communications in high-pressure environments.

To begin with, Field Notes is designed as a practitioner-focused forum where attendees can share field-tested implementations of ArmorText’s platform, particularly its Secure Gateway. This solution enables end-to-end encrypted integrations for critical data feeds, including telemetry, operational technology (OT), and SIEM alert delivery. As a result, organizations can maintain secure communication channels even during disruptions or cyber incidents.

Moreover, the event emphasizes practical knowledge sharing rather than theoretical discussions. Participants will explore proven strategies for routing, governance, escalation, and secure data ingestion lessons drawn directly from teams that have successfully managed real-world cyber crises. Consequently, attendees can apply these insights immediately within their own organizations.

The conference also provides access to ArmorText’s Secure Gateway Integrations Library, a repository of customer-contributed configurations and deployment patterns. This resource allows security teams to leverage tested solutions without starting from scratch, thereby accelerating implementation and improving resilience.

Navroop Mitter, CEO of ArmorText, highlighted the importance of learning from real incidents. “Every organization has a security plan until they get breached. In the post-breach world, there are only survivors – the practitioners and solutions that delivered. The most valuable knowledge in cyber resilience comes from the teams who were operational when everyone else was scrambling,” he said. “Field Notes is an opportunity for our customers to share incredibly valuable insights from building technology that works under real-world pressure. We want to provide an off-the-record space for practitioners to share their playbooks with each other, not just with us.”

In addition, the event will showcase how organizations deploy encrypted communication pathways to protect sensitive data when primary channels cannot be trusted. This includes demonstrating the use of out-of-band identity verification and automated threat intelligence sharing to maintain operational continuity.

Matt Calligan, Director of Growth Markets at ArmorText, underscored the role of trust in cybersecurity collaboration. “We’re grateful to have such engaged clients who are willing to share off the record. Trust is the invisible life force that drives successful cybersecurity programs. There is nothing more valuable to the cybersecurity community than trusted peers sharing tested solutions and ideas. Field Notes is our way of bringing those people and ideas together as part of our commitment to practitioner-led collective defense.”

Ultimately, as cyber threats continue to evolve, initiatives like Field Notes highlight the growing importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing among security professionals. By focusing on real-world experiences and actionable insights, ArmorText aims to strengthen cyber resilience across critical infrastructure sectors.
