Spin.AI, a Palo Alto-based AI-powered enterprise software security platform, has announced the acquisition of Revyz, an Atlassian Gold Marketplace Partner known for its backup and configuration management solutions for Jira and Confluence. The acquisition brings together advanced data protection and configuration management capabilities, enabling organizations to secure Atlassian environments alongside widely used platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The move strengthens Spin.AI’s position in the enterprise security market by expanding its capabilities into Atlassian ecosystems, an area where native backup tools often fall short. Revyz has built its reputation by addressing these gaps with enterprise-grade features such as automated backups, granular data restoration, configuration drift detection, sandbox-to-production workflows, and data residency controls. Importantly, it also ensures continued data access during Atlassian outages – an increasingly critical requirement for enterprise continuity.
Following the acquisition, existing Revyz customers will continue to use the same solutions they rely on today, now enhanced by Spin.AI’s broader engineering expertise, security infrastructure, and global support capabilities. This ensures continuity while unlocking access to a more comprehensive and scalable security platform.
The combined offering introduces a unified solution designed to simplify enterprise security operations. Organizations can now manage automated backup, ransomware protection, eDiscovery, archiving, data loss prevention, and security posture management across multiple business-critical applications within a single platform. By integrating protection for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Slack, Jira, and Confluence, Spin.AI is addressing the growing need for centralized security in increasingly complex SaaS environments.
Dmitry Dontov, Founder and CEO of Spin.AI, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition, stating that organizations should not have to compromise between innovation, operational speed, and data protection. He noted that the unified platform allows businesses to achieve all three, while also extending enhanced security capabilities to both Spin.AI and Revyz customers across their respective ecosystems.
Sanket Parlikar, CTO and Co-Founder of Revyz, highlighted the alignment of the two companies’ visions, particularly in expanding data protection beyond Atlassian applications and strengthening security posture management capabilities. He stated that joining Spin.AI enables Revyz to deliver on its broader mission of protecting mission-critical cloud applications with more advanced and integrated solutions.
The acquisition reflects a growing trend among enterprises seeking to consolidate security tools and reduce operational complexity. As organizations continue to rely on a wide range of SaaS platforms, managing security across fragmented systems has become increasingly challenging. Spin.AI’s unified approach aims to address this issue by providing a single, integrated solution that enhances visibility, control, and resilience across the entire application stack.
With this acquisition, Spin.AI is not only expanding its product portfolio but also reinforcing its commitment to delivering comprehensive, AI-driven security solutions. By integrating Revyz’s specialized capabilities into its platform, the company is positioning itself to better support enterprises navigating the evolving challenges of SaaS security, data protection, and compliance in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
