Semperis has announced that Hack The Box will serve as an Action Partner for Midnight in the War Room, a documentary focused on the realities of modern cyber conflict and the pressures faced by cybersecurity leaders. The film is set to premiere on August 5 at Black Hat USA, held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The documentary explores the human side of cybersecurity, highlighting the high-stakes decisions and challenges faced by CISOs and cyber defenders as they respond to increasingly sophisticated threats in a volatile digital landscape.
Hack The Box, which supports a global community of more than 4.3 million cybersecurity professionals, will contribute to transforming the film’s themes into practical, hands-on readiness initiatives. The company focuses on helping organizations strengthen resilience, reduce breach risks, and build cybersecurity talent through real-world simulation and training.
Christine Bartlett, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Hack The Box, said the partnership aims to bridge storytelling with actionable learning. She noted that as AI continues to reshape both offensive and defensive cyber strategies, security teams must be equipped to practice and respond effectively in high-pressure scenarios.
Midnight in the War Room examines the growing intensity of cyber threats and the often unseen efforts of security professionals who work to protect critical infrastructure and national systems. The project also seeks to raise awareness of the human cost of cyber warfare and the increasing demands placed on cybersecurity teams.
In addition to Hack The Box, several organizations have joined the initiative as Action Partners, including Women in CyberSecurity, Cyber Future Foundation, ISC2, and ISACA, among others. These partners represent a broad coalition of industry groups, educational institutions, and cybersecurity alliances working to promote awareness and readiness.
