Keeper Security has announced new enterprise governance capabilities for its Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM), strengthening its platform to meet the growing compliance and operational demands of large, distributed organizations. The update reflects increasing expectations among enterprise buyers for more structured control over privileged access, including approval workflows, expiration policies, and comprehensive audit visibility. Keeper’s latest enhancements aim to address these needs while maintaining its zero-trust and zero-knowledge security architecture.
Keeper EPM is designed to enforce least-privilege access by allowing temporary, policy-driven elevation of user privileges. With the new release, the platform introduces a centralized approval framework within the Keeper Admin Console, enabling organizations to manage privilege requests more effectively. This includes role-based approval assignments, configurable escalation paths, and defined time windows for approvals.
The addition of expiration validation and workflow enforcement ensures that elevated privileges are automatically limited in duration, reducing the risk of unauthorized or prolonged access. These controls also support compliance with regulatory requirements by improving separation of duties and ensuring accountability in access management processes.
The update also brings enhanced real-time visibility into privilege activity. Administrators can now monitor elevation requests as they occur, with improved status tracking and expanded audit logging. The inclusion of correlation identifiers strengthens traceability, enabling more efficient investigations and incident response without increasing complexity for end users.
In addition, Keeper has introduced automated monitoring features to ensure continuous enforcement of privilege policies across managed endpoints. Combined with more granular policy targeting, these capabilities provide organizations with tighter control over access across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, said the enhancements are designed to embed governance directly into privilege management workflows. He emphasized that structured approvals, strict time controls, and real-time visibility are essential for reducing standing privileges and managing risk at enterprise scale. The update underscores a broader industry shift toward integrated identity and access management solutions that prioritize governance, visibility, and automation. As organizations face increasing security and compliance pressures, tools that provide precise control over privileged access are becoming a critical component of modern cybersecurity strategies.
