KnowBe4 has officially introduced its latest innovation, Agent Risk Manager, a groundbreaking solution designed to secure, monitor, and govern autonomous AI agents. As organizations increasingly transition from AI-assisted workflows to fully agent-managed environments, the company aims to address emerging risks associated with this shift. Consequently, this launch marks a significant evolution in how businesses approach both human and AI workforce security.
Notably, Agent Risk Manager integrates seamlessly into KnowBe4’s HRM+ platform, enabling enterprises to quantify and mitigate risks across hybrid workforces. While traditional cybersecurity solutions have focused primarily on static code scanning or API protection, KnowBe4 takes a more advanced approach. Specifically, it targets agentic behavior, ensuring AI agents do not perform unauthorized actions such as leaking sensitive information or falling victim to indirect prompt injection attacks.
According to Greg Kras, chief product officer at KnowBe4, the industry must now rethink its security priorities.
“The industry has spent years securing the human element, but today, AI agents are the newest members of our workforce,” said Greg Kras, chief product officer, KnowBe4. “However, securing the prompt is only half the battle. Our Agent Risk Manager focuses on the output and actions of these agents, ensuring that as they move through your network, they do not become the ultimate shadow IT or a backdoor for sophisticated prompt injection attacks.”
Furthermore, the platform introduces a real-time operational layer that actively governs agent behavior post-deployment. For instance, it includes behavioral guardrails that monitor actions and prevent data exfiltration. In addition, agentic identity governance ensures that permissions and access levels remain transparent and controlled.
To strengthen resilience, the system incorporates adversarial simulations, which test AI agents against evolving cyber threats such as social engineering and prompt injection tactics. Moreover, it leverages over 15 years of behavioral data to predict anomalies, thereby enhancing proactive risk management.
Kras further emphasized the broader implications of this innovation:
“We are moving from a world of human risk to universal risk,” continued Kras. “Whether it is a human being tricked by a deepfake or an AI agent being manipulated by a malicious prompt, KnowBe4 is the only platform capable of defending both.”
In addition to these capabilities, Agent Risk Manager offers prompt injection detection, sensitive data protection through advanced classifiers, and monitoring for excessive resource consumption. It also features automated agent inventory tracking, compliance-ready audit logs, and centralized integration management. As a result, organizations gain complete visibility and control over their AI ecosystems.
A customer review on TrustRadius highlights the platform’s effectiveness:
“The AI-driven personalization has helped target our account holders with specific information relevant to their areas of interest or specialization. This helps reduce fatigue as we rely on the AI system. KnowBe4 AI helps us solve this problem.”
Importantly, the launch coincides with Identity Management Day, reinforcing the growing need to secure both human and machine identities. As organizations embrace AI at scale, solutions like Agent Risk Manager are poised to become essential in safeguarding modern digital infrastructures.
