Rubrik has introduced a new initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration among cybersecurity professionals with the launch of its Practitioner Community. Designed as a dedicated space for experts across data protection, identity security, cloud resilience, and AI operations, the platform brings together real-world experience and practical knowledge at a time when cyber threats are becoming increasingly complex.

The new community reflects a growing need for stronger collaboration in the face of rapidly evolving risks. According to research from Rubrik Zero Labs, a significant majority of organizations expect AI agents to outpace existing security controls within the next year. At the same time, visibility into these systems remains limited, and identity-based attacks now dominate the threat landscape. These challenges have made it clear that traditional, isolated approaches to cybersecurity are no longer sufficient.

Rubrik’s platform is built to bridge that gap by enabling practitioners to connect with peers, exchange insights, and access hands-on resources such as playbooks and technical guides. Instead of relying solely on internal knowledge or fragmented networks, professionals can now learn from others who have faced similar incidents whether it involves recovering from ransomware attacks, restoring identity systems, or managing AI-driven environments.

Kavitha Mariappan, Chief Transformation Officer at Rubrik, emphasized that some of the most valuable lessons in cybersecurity come from real-world incidents but often remain confined within individual teams. By creating a shared space for these experiences, the company aims to help defenders respond faster and build stronger recovery strategies.

The community also introduces opportunities for both digital and in-person engagement. Members can participate in regional meetups known as Huddle for Resilience (H4R), where they can collaborate face-to-face, share practical insights, and deepen their technical expertise. In addition, Rubrik recognizes experienced contributors through programs like Practitioner Titans and Partner Black Belts, highlighting individuals who actively support and advance the community.

Early feedback from industry professionals suggests that this initiative could play a meaningful role in improving how organizations approach data protection and incident response. By fostering open collaboration and shared learning, Rubrik is positioning its community as more than just a resource hub—it becomes a support system for practitioners navigating the realities of modern cyber threats.

As organizations continue to integrate AI into their operations, the importance of collective knowledge and resilience will only grow. Rubrik’s Practitioner Community signals a shift toward a more connected and experience-driven approach to cybersecurity, where learning from each other becomes a key defense strategy.
