ABS, through its affiliate ABSG Consulting Inc. (ABS Consulting), has announced the acquisition of RMC Global (RMC), a recognized provider of industrial cybersecurity, risk management, and resiliency solutions. The move is aimed at strengthening ABS Consulting’s capabilities in addressing the growing complexity of operational and cyber risks across critical infrastructure sectors.
The acquisition brings together two organizations with complementary expertise, combining RMC’s specialized capabilities in industrial cybersecurity with ABS Consulting’s global scale, technical depth, and extensive resources. This integration is expected to deliver more comprehensive and unified solutions for clients navigating increasingly complex and high-stakes risk environments.
ABS Chairman and CEO John McDonald emphasized the significance of the acquisition in the current threat landscape. He noted that clients are facing rising operational risks, escalating cyber threats, and increasing regulatory pressures, making it essential to deliver integrated and forward-looking solutions. He also highlighted that the alignment between ABS and RMC extends beyond strategy, pointing to a strong cultural fit rooted in shared values and a common mission.
McDonald stated that both organizations are focused on delivering real-world impact, valuing deep expertise, practical problem-solving, and long-term client trust. He added that the combined strengths of ABS and RMC will enhance their ability to protect critical systems, support resilience, and address complex challenges where operational stakes are high.
ABS Consulting CEO David Wechsler underscored that the acquisition aligns with key growth priorities for the company. He explained that the addition of RMC strengthens ABS Consulting’s ability to support clients facing evolving cyber threats and regulatory demands, while also expanding its platform to deliver more innovative and scalable solutions in the industrial cybersecurity space.
RMC President Vince Kuchar highlighted the shared mission and cultural alignment as central to the deal. He stated that both organizations are committed to delivering trusted, practical solutions that safeguard critical infrastructure and enable resilience in the face of growing risks. By joining ABS, he noted, RMC is better positioned to support its clients both now and in the future as risk environments continue to evolve.
The acquisition reflects a broader industry trend toward consolidation and capability expansion in cybersecurity and risk management, particularly as organizations seek more integrated approaches to protecting critical infrastructure. With cyber threats becoming more sophisticated and operational environments more interconnected, the combined expertise of ABS Consulting and RMC is expected to play a key role in helping clients strengthen resilience and maintain secure operations.
