As voice-based cyber threats continue to evolve, CallTower has introduced a new enterprise-grade Voice Spam Blocking solution, developed in collaboration with Mutare. This launch comes at a time when organizations are witnessing a sharp increase in sophisticated attacks, including AI-generated voice scams and large-scale robocall campaigns.

Traditionally, voice communication has been viewed as a reliable and secure channel. However, attackers are now actively exploiting it, transforming it into a vulnerable entry point for cyber threats. Recognizing this shift, CallTower has taken a proactive approach to redefine enterprise voice security.

Unlike conventional call filtering tools that function at the endpoint level, this new solution operates at the network edge. As a result, it intercepts and neutralizes malicious calls before they can reach employees, systems, or sensitive business data. Consequently, organizations can now treat voice communication as a secure and protected layer of their infrastructure, similar to email and network security systems.

“Voice connectivity alone is no longer enough. Businesses need assurance that every interaction is legitimate,” said Doug Larsen, Executive Vice President of Product & Software at CallTower. “This solution transforms voice from a potential attack surface into a trusted, secure channel giving organizations the confidence to communicate without disruption in an era of AI-driven threats.”

Furthermore, the platform integrates multiple layers of defense to address both known and emerging threats. It combines STIR/SHAKEN caller authentication protocols with real-time threat intelligence, ensuring accurate identity verification and proactive blocking of malicious calls. In addition, the system introduces Voice CAPTCHA, a feature specifically designed to challenge suspicious callers in real time, thereby preventing advanced evasion tactics.

To enhance usability, administrators gain access to a centralized dashboard that enables them to define security policies, monitor live traffic, and analyze call activity efficiently. Moreover, the solution seamlessly integrates with existing security ecosystems, allowing real-time voice telemetry and logging into SIEM platforms for improved visibility and response.

Organizations can initially deploy the system in a monitor-only mode. This approach allows them to baseline normal call traffic and fine-tune security rules before activating full enforcement. Ultimately, this phased implementation helps eliminate unwanted and malicious calls, reclaim employee productivity, and reduce operational inefficiencies.

In addition, the platform includes a built-in productivity calculator, enabling businesses to measure cost savings and efficiency improvements. By doing so, companies can clearly understand the financial and operational benefits of securing their voice communication channels.
