Celerium has introduced DIB CyberDome™, a new cybersecurity platform designed to protect small and mid-sized defense contractors handling sensitive U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) data. The launch addresses a growing security gap across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), where an estimated 68,000 smaller contractors manage Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) but often lack the resources, tools, and personnel available to larger defense firms. At the same time, these organizations face increasing regulatory pressure, particularly around achieving Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 compliance.
DIB CyberDome is built to provide automated, adaptive protection while simplifying compliance requirements. Unlike traditional cybersecurity approaches that rely on complex systems such as SIEM, SOAR, and 24/7 Security Operations Centers (SOCs), the platform is designed to be cost-efficient and easy to deploy.
At its core is the Cyber Interceptor™, a solution derived from technology previously delivered by Celerium to the DoD. It continuously monitors network activity and applies automated threat blocking, with defenses re-optimized every 15 minutes. The system supports both on-premises and cloud environments and can be deployed in as little as 30 to 60 minutes without requiring hardware, agents, or complex integrations.
The platform also includes built-in reporting capabilities, enabling organizations to generate audit-ready evidence for executives and compliance auditors an essential requirement for meeting CMMC standards.
Celerium emphasized that DIB CyberDome directly addresses two of the most operationally challenging CMMC Level 2 requirements: continuous network monitoring and boundary protection. These controls traditionally require significant investment and operational overhead, making them difficult for smaller contractors to implement. By automating these functions, the platform allows organizations to enhance security while reducing reliance on expensive infrastructure and specialized staff.
In addition to individual protection, Celerium is introducing the Elevated Defense System™, an AI-powered capability designed to enable coordinated defense across the broader DIB ecosystem. This system identifies emerging threats across participating organizations and automatically activates defensive measures, creating a shared security layer. The Cyber Interceptor component will be generally available in April 2026, while the Elevated Defense System is expected to enter early access in July 2026.
The launch comes amid increasing cyber threats targeting defense contractors, including attacks from nation-state actors. Vince Crisler, Chief Strategy Officer at Celerium and former White House CISO, noted that smaller contractors now face the same level of adversary sophistication as major defense firms but without comparable resources.
Industry partners also highlighted the operational challenges of achieving compliance. Elisabeth Nguyen, CEO of TES Consultants, said many contractors struggle not only with implementing security controls but also with proving their effectiveness an issue the new platform aims to address With DIB CyberDome, Celerium is positioning itself to deliver a scalable, automated approach to cybersecurity that helps smaller defense contractors strengthen protection, meet compliance requirements, and operate more securely in an increasingly hostile threat landscape.
