Sentra has announced a new integration with Wiz, now part of Google Cloud, to bring deeper data awareness into cloud security operations. Through its participation in the Wiz Integration Network (WIN), Sentra enhances the Wiz Security Graph with data sensitivity intelligence. As a result, organizations can more effectively identify, prioritize, and eliminate hidden data risks within their cloud environments while securely scaling AI and cloud initiatives.
As enterprises increasingly adopt AI copilots and automation tools, data exposure risks are rising significantly. Each new AI-driven system has the potential to access sensitive or regulated data, often without clear visibility. Therefore, organizations require more than just infrastructure-level security insights. While Wiz already provides comprehensive visibility into misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and attack paths, the addition of Sentra’s data intelligence enables a more complete understanding of risk.
For instance, a cloud storage bucket or database may appear secure at the infrastructure level. However, it could still contain overshared sensitive data such as PII, PCI, PHI, or intellectual property. By integrating Sentra’s classification capabilities, organizations can now detect these hidden risks and take action before they lead to compliance violations or data breaches.
“As customers scale in the cloud and adopt AI, they need to know which issues actually put their most sensitive data at risk,” said Oron Noah, VP Product, Extensibility and Partnerships at Wiz. “By combining Wiz’s cloud security platform with Sentra’s data intelligence, we give joint customers a single view that connects infrastructure risk with real data exposure, so teams can focus remediation on what truly matters to the business.”
Moreover, the integration bridges the gap between cloud infrastructure security and data exposure by combining Wiz’s insights with Sentra’s AI-powered data classification. Sentra continuously discovers and classifies sensitive data across cloud environments and shares that context directly with Wiz. Consequently, security teams gain enriched visibility into where risks exist, what data is impacted, and who has access to it.
With this integration, organizations can quickly identify which security findings involve regulated or business-critical data. Additionally, teams can reduce alert fatigue by filtering out low-impact issues and focusing only on risks that involve real data exposure. This leads to faster and more efficient remediation workflows.
Furthermore, the solution aligns security, cloud, and data teams around a unified, data-driven view of risk. By connecting cloud posture with data sensitivity and access controls, organizations can improve collaboration and decision-making. At the same time, Sentra ensures that data classifications remain up to date by refreshing insights every 24 hours, keeping risk prioritization aligned with constantly evolving environments.
“Security teams are overwhelmed by findings, and new AI initiatives will only make that worse,” said Yair Cohen, VP Product and Co-Founder of Sentra. “But not all risks are created equal. By bringing rich data context into Wiz, we help teams discover and eliminate the issues that actually put sensitive information at risk, so they can reduce data risk and ensure compliance requirements, without slowing AI innovation.”
In addition, Sentra operates entirely within the customer’s cloud environment using an agentless architecture. This means data never leaves the organization’s environment, and no manual workflows or exports are required. Insights from Sentra appear directly within the Wiz Security Graph, allowing users to access detailed file-level context, identity insights, and remediation workflows seamlessly.
As organizations accelerate the deployment of AI models, copilots, and automation tools, understanding data exposure becomes essential. By mapping data sensitivity directly into cloud security insights, this integration helps businesses identify risks related to broken permissions, oversharing, and shadow data before they are amplified by AI systems.
Ultimately, the collaboration between Sentra and Wiz delivers a more data-aware cloud security approach. By combining infrastructure intelligence with deep data context, organizations can strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and confidently advance their AI and cloud strategies.
