Cloudflare has announced a strategic partnership with Wiz, now part of Google Cloud, to deliver a unified solution for securing AI-powered applications. Through this collaboration, the companies aim to provide security teams with a centralized way to analyze, monitor, and protect AI workloads across their entire environment.

By integrating Cloudflare’s AI Security for Apps into the Wiz Security Graph, organizations can now gain a comprehensive view of their AI footprint. As a result, security teams will not only identify all AI-driven endpoints but also assess their security posture and enforce appropriate protections. This unified visibility is becoming essential as enterprises rapidly deploy AI features across their digital infrastructure.

Today, organizations are rolling out AI-powered tools such as chatbots, copilots, and intelligent search systems at an unprecedented pace. However, this rapid innovation often outpaces security oversight. Consequently, each new AI endpoint introduces potential risks, including prompt injection attacks, sensitive data exposure, and misuse. Without a clear inventory of these systems, security teams struggle to maintain control.

To address this challenge, the Cloudflare and Wiz integration provides a single source of truth for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs). This allows them to better understand where AI is being used, whether proper guardrails are in place, and how effective those protections are in real-world scenarios.

Moreover, the joint solution enables organizations to eliminate AI blind spots across their infrastructure. Cloudflare’s AI Security for Apps applies real-time guardrails at the edge, protecting AI endpoints from threats such as unsafe inputs and data leakage. At the same time, Wiz’s AI Application Protection Platform maps the entire AI ecosystem and highlights security gaps.

Importantly, by embedding Cloudflare’s security controls into the Wiz Security Graph, teams can prioritize risks based on exploitability. Therefore, organizations can focus on addressing the most critical vulnerabilities first. In addition, the solution provides visibility into large language models (LLMs) operating across web properties and enables runtime policy enforcement.

“AI is the most transformative technology we’ve seen in a generation, powering countless capabilities. But for a majority of businesses, it can be a black box. When talking with CISOs today, they are struggling with the balance of being an enabler of innovation with AI, while combating uncontrolled shadow AI across their organization because their legacy security tools are effectively useless at this level,” said Tom Evans, Chief Partner Officer at Cloudflare. “The Cloudflare and Wiz partnership helps tackle this trade-off. Now, we are delivering a solution to allow innovation with AI at speed, without the worry that their most sensitive data will be exposed.”

“Security alignment isn’t just about reducing risk, it’s an enabler of AI application development,” said Oron Noah, VP of Product, Extensibility & Partnerships at Wiz. “By combining Wiz’s end-to-end visibility with Cloudflare’s edge protections, we close a critical gap in how AI risk is managed. This partnership gives organizations a unified view of AI application endpoints and shared risk context, helping them stop threats like prompt injection and shadow AI before they start.”

Furthermore, the partnership introduces several key capabilities designed to strengthen AI security. Organizations can discover shadow AI by identifying all LLM endpoints, including those deployed without security oversight. At the same time, Cloudflare inspects AI traffic in real time to detect risks such as prompt injection and data leakage without adding latency.

In addition, Wiz maps sensitive data flows between AI systems, models, and storage layers, providing deeper insights into how data interacts with AI workloads. The platform also verifies whether proper security guardrails are in place and alerts teams if configurations are missing or incorrect. Finally, the integration helps prioritize remediation efforts by highlighting high-risk AI endpoints with access to sensitive data or production systems.

Overall, this partnership reflects a growing industry need to balance rapid AI innovation with robust security controls. By combining visibility, protection, and actionable insights, Cloudflare and Wiz are enabling organizations to scale AI adoption securely and confidently.
