Atos has been two key contracts under a national cybersecurity initiative launched by Gigalis, aimed at strengthening cyber resilience across French public sector organizations. The program, part of France’s Territorial Cyber Resilience initiative, is designed to help local authorities and public institutions better anticipate cyber threats, withstand attacks, and recover more effectively. Structured as a four-year, multi-supplier framework, the initiative includes seven specialized areas, with 19 companies selected to deliver coordinated cybersecurity services nationwide.

Atos secured roles in two critical areas Cyber Governance & Strategy and Regulatory Compliance & Certification Support. These responsibilities position the company to help public organizations strengthen their cybersecurity frameworks beyond purely technical measures, focusing on governance, risk management, and long-term resilience.

Under the governance and strategy component, Atos will support the development of organizational and methodological systems to manage cyber risks and protect information assets. In the compliance and certification segment, the company will assist institutions in meeting regulatory requirements, including conducting gap analyses, implementing compliance action plans, and preparing for certifications such as ISO 27001.

The program emphasizes collaboration among all participating vendors, creating a coordinated ecosystem capable of delivering a unified response to cyber threats. This collective approach is intended to improve operational efficiency and ensure consistent protection across public sector entities.

Farah Rigal, Director of Cybersecurity Services France at Atos, stated that the initiative reflects a broader understanding of cybersecurity as an ecosystem challenge involving people, processes, and technology. She noted that the program enables a more coordinated and responsive approach to managing cyber risks at a national level.

Filipe Bica, Director of Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data, and AI at Gigalis, highlighted Atos’ expertise as a key component of the program’s “Defenders Alliance,” which focuses on three core pillars: anticipating threats, resisting attacks, and ensuring recovery. The initiative aims to provide public organizations with adaptable strategies aligned with their specific needs while maintaining a unified cybersecurity framework.

As part of its role, Atos will deliver a wide range of services, including risk analysis, cybersecurity strategy development, regulatory compliance support, business continuity planning, and certification assistance. The company will also contribute to ongoing monitoring, audits, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain compliance as regulations evolve.

This agreement builds on Atos’ ongoing collaboration with Gigalis, including its involvement in previous initiatives supporting digital transformation and artificial intelligence projects in the public sector. The program underscores France’s growing focus on strengthening cyber resilience at a regional and national level, particularly as public institutions face increasing cyber threats and regulatory pressures.
