SecurityScorecard has announced a partnership with Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism to enhance cybersecurity protection and visibility across key state agencies. The initiative will extend cyber risk monitoring and third-party risk management capabilities to several agencies under the Lieutenant Governor’s authority, including the Louisiana Office of Tourism, the Office of State Parks, the Office of State Museums, the Office of Cultural Development, and the State Library of Louisiana. These organizations manage critical public resources tied to tourism, heritage, and community services.

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser emphasized that safeguarding personal data is essential, given the volume of information handled across these agencies and their partners. He noted that maintaining public trust requires proactive measures to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.

The partnership focuses on improving visibility into risks associated with third-party vendors, an area increasingly seen as a major source of exposure for public sector organizations. As agencies expand their reliance on external partners, gaps in supply chain security can directly impact operational resilience.

SecurityScorecard will deploy its AI-driven threat intelligence capabilities, including its TITAN AI technology, to provide continuous monitoring and automated risk detection. The platform is designed to give security teams real-time insight into vulnerabilities and emerging threats across their extended digital ecosystem.

Michael Centrella said the collaboration aims to equip Louisiana’s agencies with the visibility needed to act quickly on cyber risks, strengthen compliance, and ensure service continuity for residents and visitors. The move reflects a broader shift among government entities toward continuous, threat-informed risk management, replacing traditional periodic assessments with real-time monitoring. By focusing on third-party risk, the partnership addresses one of the fastest-growing challenges in public sector cybersecurity.
