In a significant move within the cybersecurity landscape, AI security startup Artemis has successfully raised $70 million through a combination of seed and Series A funding rounds. This investment will accelerate the development of its advanced AI-powered cybersecurity platform, which is specifically designed to combat increasingly complex and fast-evolving cyber threats.
To begin with, the funding round saw participation from prominent investors, including First Round Capital, Brightmind, and others, while Felicis led the investment. Moreover, the company gained strong strategic backing from industry experts associated with Demisto, Abnormal AI, as well as professionals with experience at Splunk, CrowdStrike, Microsoft, and Palo Alto Networks.
Founded in 2025, Artemis initially secured $15 million in seed funding led by First Round Capital and Brightmind. Subsequently, it raised an additional $55 million in its Series A round. Currently, the company operates with a lean yet highly skilled team of 30 employees.
At its core, Artemis is focused on transforming cybersecurity through autonomous AI agents. Unlike traditional rule-based systems, these intelligent agents can dynamically detect and respond to threats across multiple environments, including cloud infrastructures, identity systems, networks, endpoints, and applications. As a result, organizations gain a more unified and real-time view of cyberattacks as they occur.
Highlighting this shift, Shachar Hirshberg, co-founder and CEO of Artemis, emphasized the urgency of evolving cybersecurity strategies:
“Legacy detection was built for a world where humans attacked humans. Today, AI-driven attacks never execute the same way twice. They adapt in real-time, often finishing their mission before a human defender even receives an alert. We built Artemis to give defenders that same speed and adaptability.”
Furthermore, Artemis aims to eliminate the fragmentation commonly seen in traditional security architectures. By doing so, it enables organizations to respond to threats more efficiently and with greater accuracy.
In addition, Hirshberg shared insights into early adoption:
“We already have the basic product deployed in some of the largest environments in the world, as well as some of the most sophisticated environments in the world, and customers have already started getting to us inbound.”
Ultimately, with its strong focus on autonomous AI-driven defense systems, Artemis is positioning itself at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation. As cyber threats continue to grow more adaptive and faster, solutions like Artemis are becoming essential for organizations seeking proactive and intelligent defense mechanisms.
