In a strategic move to improve cloud security insights, Sentra has introduced a new integration with Wiz that brings advanced data classification capabilities into the Wiz Security Graph. As a result, joint customers can now clearly identify which cloud security risks involve sensitive or regulated data, enabling more precise threat prioritization.

Notably, this integration combines Wiz’s infrastructure-level risk visibility with Sentra’s deep data discovery and classification technology. Consequently, security teams can now pinpoint where vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or potential attack paths intersect with critical business data stored across cloud environments.

Moreover, this development addresses a growing challenge faced by organizations—handling an overwhelming number of cloud alerts while struggling to determine which ones pose the most serious business risks. This issue has intensified as companies increasingly adopt AI copilots, intelligent agents, and machine learning systems that expand data accessibility across multiple platforms.

Wiz already plays a crucial role in mapping cloud infrastructure risks, such as misconfigurations and attack paths. However, with Sentra’s integration, users gain added visibility into data sensitivity within assets like storage buckets and databases. Specifically, it identifies whether these assets contain sensitive information such as PII, PCI, PHI, or intellectual property.

As a result, organizations can prioritize remediation efforts based on actual data exposure risk rather than treating all alerts equally. Additionally, the system automatically updates classifications and risk context every 24 hours, ensuring continuous accuracy.

Data Context and Operational Benefits

Through this integration, Sentra continuously discovers and classifies sensitive data across cloud environments and feeds that context directly into Wiz. This information appears within the Wiz Security Graph, allowing users to understand not only where risks exist but also what data may be exposed, how it is used, and who has access to it.

Furthermore, teams can filter out low-impact alerts, significantly reducing alert fatigue—a common issue among cybersecurity professionals. At the same time, the integration fosters collaboration by offering a unified view for security, cloud, and data teams, which often operate with separate tools and frameworks.

Importantly, the integration operates through an agentless architecture within the customer’s cloud environment. This means that data remains secure without leaving the environment, and users do not need to modify workflows or perform manual exports.

AI-Driven Security Challenges

The companies emphasized that this integration comes at a time when AI adoption is rapidly increasing. As organizations deploy AI systems, understanding data exposure becomes even more critical. In many cases, infrastructure may appear secure, yet sensitive data could still be overly accessible due to poor governance.

In this context, Oron Noah, VP Product, Extensibility and Partnerships at Wiz stated,
“As customers scale in the cloud and adopt AI, they need to know which issues actually put their most sensitive data at risk,”
“By combining Wiz’s cloud security platform with Sentra’s data intelligence, we give joint customers a single view that connects infrastructure risk with real data exposure, so teams can focus remediation on what truly matters to the business.”

Additionally, Google Cloud now includes Wiz as part of its ecosystem, and this integration becomes a key component of the Wiz Integration Network.

Meanwhile, Yair Cohen, VP Product and Co-Founder of Sentra highlighted the operational impact, saying:
“Security teams are overwhelmed by findings, and new AI initiatives will only make that worse,”
“But not all risks are created equal. By bringing rich data context into Wiz, we help teams discover and eliminate the issues that actually put sensitive information at risk, so they can reduce data risk and ensure compliance requirements, without slowing AI innovation.”
