Aura has introduced a new enterprise security solution aimed at addressing the growing risks associated with identity-based cyber threats. With the launch of Aura Business, the company is shifting the focus of enterprise security from systems and devices to the individual employee accessing them. As a result, organizations can better protect their IT environments by securing the human layer, which has increasingly become the primary target for attackers.

Traditionally, enterprise cyberattacks were driven by software vulnerabilities, compromised devices, or system weaknesses. However, the threat landscape has evolved significantly. Today, identity-based attacks such as phishing, social engineering, and credential misuse account for the majority of breaches. In fact, recent data shows that 65% of breaches in the past year originated from identity compromise. Therefore, businesses must rethink their security strategies to address this growing risk.

“Identity protection is in our DNA. Aura has spent years building AI-powered, all-in-one online protection for the whole family, and as identity-based risk grows in the enterprise, the opportunity was clear,” said Hari Ravichandran, founder and CEO of Aura. “With a few small adaptations to our platform, we could put our award-winning personal security offerings to work protecting the employee behind the device, unlocking an entirely new market for Aura.”

Unlike traditional enterprise security tools that focus primarily on hardware management and system access controls, Aura Business targets human risk factors directly. In many organizations, these risks have historically been addressed only through employee training programs. However, Aura Business complements existing security frameworks by equipping employees with tools to improve their personal cybersecurity practices. Consequently, it helps mitigate risks such as credential theft and phishing attacks that often occur outside conventional IT controls.

Moreover, the launch builds on Aura’s existing enterprise go-to-market strategy, which includes its employee benefits offering distributed through MetLife, as well as direct partnerships. Notably, these partnerships contributed to over 30% of the company’s revenue in 2025, highlighting strong demand for its solutions.

As part of its market debut, Aura is rolling out a specialized version of Aura Business tailored for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This offering addresses a critical challenge faced by MSPs identity-based risks linked to Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environments. According to recent research, demand for BYOD management continues to rise, while security incidents related to personal devices remain a significant concern.

For instance, many MSPs report experiencing BYOD-related incidents, with credential theft and phishing emerging as the most common causes. At the same time, traditional device management solutions often introduce operational complexity and potential liability. Therefore, many providers avoid managing personal devices altogether.

To solve this issue, Aura Business for MSPs enables secure access to corporate systems without requiring full control over employee-owned devices. Instead, it enforces security at the identity and access layer, ensuring that only users operating on “healthy” devices can access business applications. As a result, organizations can maintain strong security without compromising user privacy.

In addition, the platform offers several key features designed to simplify management and improve visibility. MSPs can access a multi-tenant dashboard to monitor security health across clients, integrate conditional access controls through Microsoft Entra ID, and enforce compliance policies such as minimum operating system requirements. Furthermore, the solution includes direct-to-user support, allowing employees to resolve security issues independently while receiving 24/7 assistance from Aura.

At the user level, employees benefit from a range of built-in protections. These include safeguards against malware, phishing attempts across email and messaging platforms, password and credential monitoring, and secure browsing capabilities. Importantly, Aura ensures a privacy-first approach by not accessing personal content or activity, thereby maintaining trust while enhancing security.

Overall, Aura’s new enterprise solution reflects a broader shift in cybersecurity strategy. By prioritizing identity protection and empowering employees with security tools, the company is helping organizations close a critical gap in modern enterprise defense.
