WatchGuard Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with Halo to help managed service providers (MSPs) simplify and automate their security operations. The collaboration integrates WatchGuard Cloud with HaloPSA, enabling MSPs to manage cybersecurity workflows—from alert detection to billing—within a single unified platform.
The integration embeds WatchGuard’s security operations directly into HaloPSA, allowing MSPs to monitor security posture, respond to incidents, and manage services without switching between multiple tools. By centralizing these functions, the partnership aims to reduce operational complexity and improve response times, giving service providers greater efficiency in handling client environments.
A key advantage of this integration is automation. Security alerts generated within WatchGuard Cloud can automatically trigger ticketing workflows inside HaloPSA, ensuring faster issue resolution. At the same time, verified asset and licensing data help align contracts and improve billing accuracy, reducing manual administrative tasks. Industry data from the Service Desk Institute suggests that automation can cut ticket volumes by up to 30 percent, highlighting the potential efficiency gains for MSPs adopting such solutions.
WatchGuard’s platform already combines network security, identity protection, endpoint security, and managed detection and response (MDR) into a unified cloud-based system. With the HaloPSA integration, MSP technicians can now access all relevant security data—such as device status, licenses, and alerts—directly within their PSA environment, enabling more informed and timely actions.
Executives from both companies emphasized that the partnership is designed to meet the evolving needs of MSPs, who are under increasing pressure to deliver robust cybersecurity services while managing operational costs. By embedding security tools into existing workflows, the integration reduces friction and allows MSPs to scale their services more effectively.
Industry experts also note that PSA integrations are becoming a critical factor for MSPs when selecting vendors. Seamless connectivity between security platforms and service management tools not only enhances efficiency but also enables providers to expand their offerings without adding complexity.
This partnership reflects a broader trend toward tighter integration between cybersecurity and service management platforms, as MSPs seek to deliver faster, more automated, and more scalable security services in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
