North, formerly known as North American Bancard, announced today that Jeffrey Vagg, Chief Data and Analytics Officer, has been named an H2O.ai 2024 AI 100 Leader, a distinction given to individuals and companies making the most significant contributions to innovation and transformational AI applications across multiple industries.
Vagg was chosen from public nominations, LLM-powered analysis, ranked by H2O.ai’s VP of Data Science, Olivier Grellier, and independent research firm Evident AI.
“By 2030, every Fortune 500 company will be run by an AI maker or Data Scientist. AI and data-driven strategies will form the DNA of every purpose-led organization,” said Sri Ambati, CEO and founder of H2O.ai.

The H2O AI 100 list underlines emergent trends in AI adoption, driven by strong representation from Technology, Financial Services, the Public Sector, and Healthcare. More significantly, it lists 56 C-Suite executives across 47 Fortune 500 companies besides the researchers that are advancing AI science and ethics.
While North America retains a lion’s share with 80 honorees, the list also reported surging AI hubs in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Consequently, it touts some of the most promising “AI for Good” applications in areas such as climate change, wildlife conservation, and healthcare accessibility.
