Leading cloud-first security provider Barracuda Networks Inc will expand its worldwide support operations for managed service providers into the Middle East. This strategic move is designed to enable channel organizations across the region with a complete offer in managed security services, empowering them to be better custodians of their customers. These services include threat prevention and detection, as well as response to attacks at various attack points—email, endpoint, and network—to offer diversification in data, user, and reputation protection.

“The expansion solidifies Barracuda’s commitment to helping Middle East partners to create or add to sustainable revenue streams. This year, a recent Barracuda report—’The Evolving Landscape of the MSP Business Report 2024’—finds IT service providers across the world are projecting 44% of revenue to come from recurring managed services by 2024, up from 34% in 2023.”.
“Security skills and resources are major pain points for businesses, and the vast majority of MSPs recognize that companies are growing more dependent on managed service providers to help them close these gaps. With growing reliance on MSPs to manage these security services, they are increasingly turning to outsourcing — especially when it comes to the security operations center,” explained Charbel Ghostine, regional channel and alliances director META & East Med at Barracuda. “Seventy percent of MSPs say they need more support from the vendor. Barracuda is a partner-first organization that can arm MSPs with the ability to strip customer competition naked in the 2024 landscape and beyond.“
The remaining full suite of MSP services offerings now available with Barracuda across the Middle East for partners to provide to customers includes:
Email Security: Complete email security solutions that enable MSPs to ensure their customers are safe from problems such as phishing, malware, and ransomware through the mailboxes, browsing, files, and data.
ˇ Extended Detection and Response (XDR): A managed security service that is all-inclusive in offering 24/7 protection services to customers, supported by a 24/7/365 security operations center (SOC).
Security-Centric Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM): The industry’s first RMM tool, with a built-in capability to perform security assessments, which gives MSPs the ability to quickly assess their customer networks and recommend the services that are necessary.
In this rollout, Barracuda plans to enlist the support of regional value-added distributors, or VADs, such as Mindware and Ingram Micro, for the on-boarding process, comprehensive training with education, and marketing and sales support with respect to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, and the Levant.
It is part of an expansive effort by Barracuda to drive increased partner and distributor profitability. Earlier in the year, the company enhanced its Barracuda Partner Success Program by offering more favorable compensation models involving discounts and rebates, and expanded technical resources. The company has recently made an additional add-on in this regard, an AI assistant available through the Partner Portal, which offers very advanced search and enablement tools to the partners.
