Barracuda Networks, Inc., a leading cloud-first security solutions company, announced that it had entered into a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services, Inc. It will enhance flexibility and simplify licensing, procurement, and deployment processes for all customers of Barracuda. The agreement involves multimillion-dollar investments in marketing development funds, proof of concept funding, and Independent Software Vendor workload migration support. The SCA tightens the already close relationship between Barracuda and AWS. Barracuda security solutions suite, starting with application, network, email security, and data protection, are available in AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog offering thousands of software listings from ISVs for easy discovery, testing, purchase, and deployment on AWS.
“Our strategy is to make access and deployment of cloud-based security solutions easy, and this SCA will create new incentives for customers to choose Barracuda offerings available in AWS Marketplace,” said Nicole Napiltonia, VP of Global Alliances at Barracuda. “We are able to empower customers to accelerate their digital transformation and truly take advantage of the scale and elasticity of the cloud by securing their data and applications.”
“We are very pleased to be working with Barracuda Networks, simplifying an organization’s route to the cloud while making improvements to the security posture,” said Alan Braun, director of Technology Partnerships, Americas, AWS. “This partnership underlines our commitment to our customers for bringing better scalability and easier deployments, and allowing our customers to innovate faster and operate more securely in the cloud.”
As a registered AWS Partner, Barracuda has a number of AWS validated qualifications, which include AWS Public Sector Partner, AWS Marketplace Seller, and AWS GovCloud (US) Delivery Partner.
Barracuda was one of the first ISVs to obtain AWS Security Competency status for WAF and DDoS solutions after the required AWS FTR completion, which identifies software or solution risks. The company further announced that it has, since launch, supported Amazon Security Lake.
“We launched Barracuda CloudGen Firewall via AWS Marketplace. This saved us time and hassle in our procurement process and added an additional layer of security to our network,” said John Pesavento, VP of Technology at The Orvis Company, Inc. “Partnerships like that of Barracuda and AWS are important to us as we continue the migration of our solutions to the cloud.“
