CompTIA and SGInnovate have announced a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening Singapore’s deep tech workforce through targeted learning and upskilling initiatives. As part of this collaboration, both organisations signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), introduced the CyberReady+ Bootcamp, and launched CompTIA’s first-ever SecAI+ certification. Together, these initiatives are designed to prepare professionals for the rapidly evolving demands of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity roles.
To begin with, the partnership focuses on supporting Singapore’s national innovation economy. CompTIA, a globally recognised provider of vendor-neutral technology certifications, joined forces with SGInnovate, a government-supported deep tech ecosystem builder and investor. Through this collaboration, CompTIA will deliver globally recognised certifications and structured learning programs, while SGInnovate will connect talent with upskilling opportunities and career pathways across startups and enterprises. As a result, professionals will gain both technical knowledge and direct access to employment opportunities.
Moreover, both organisations plan to combine their expertise to help local talent adapt to fast-changing technological trends. This approach ensures that Singapore’s workforce remains competitive and future-ready in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies.

“As AI-powered cyber-attacks increase, and AI and cybersecurity become increasingly critical to Singapore’s innovation economy, developing talent in these areas is a national priority,” said Juliana Lim, Executive Director – People, SGInnovate. “Our collaboration with CompTIA allows us to upskill individuals through a blend of preparatory workshops and formal certifications. By bridging the gap between training and employment, we ensure Singapore’s workforce remains future-ready and directly connected to meaningful opportunities across the deep tech ecosystem.”
In addition, the organisations launched the CyberReady+ Bootcamp to address the urgent need for cybersecurity professionals. The program offers a structured three-stage learning path. The foundation stage introduces networking basics, security controls, and defence principles. Next, the intermediate stage focuses on analyst workflows, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and SIEM fundamentals. Finally, the advanced stage explores AI-driven cybersecurity, including threat hunting, SOAR automation, and securing AI-enabled systems. Importantly, the bootcamp supports participants ranging from non-technical backgrounds to those with basic cybersecurity knowledge.

Furthermore, CompTIA introduced the SecAI+ certification to address growing AI security challenges. This certification focuses on securing AI systems, ensuring compliance, and enabling safe automation within cybersecurity operations. The launch directly responds to workforce insights showing a widening talent gap. According to SGInnovate’s Deep Tech Central data, AI and cybersecurity job openings grew by 44% between 2024 and 2025. Although applications increased by 65%, only 20% of candidates met required skill levels, highlighting a major skills mismatch.
Therefore, SGInnovate integrated SecAI+ certification access through its Deep Tech Central platform. This integration ensures learners remain connected to job opportunities, internships, and ongoing skill development resources while completing certifications.
Finally, both organisations aim to simplify the transition from training to employment by centralising learning and career pathways on a single platform.
“Classroom learning, on-the-job training and professional certifications are the foundations of a highly skilled technology workforce,” said Peter Schalkwijk, Vice President, APAC, CompTIA. “Together with SGInnovate, we share a commitment to help people acquire the technology skills that drive innovation and growth throughout Singapore.”
