Broadcom has announced an expanded collaboration with Google Cloud to launch Cloud Network Insights, a new observability service designed to provide end-to-end visibility across modern, distributed environments. The offering is powered by AppNeta by Broadcom and is available as a native, first-party service for Google Cloud customers.
Cloud Network Insights is built to address the growing complexity of enterprise infrastructure, where applications, AI workloads, and agent-based systems increasingly operate across multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. Traditional monitoring tools often fall short in these scenarios, offering limited visibility particularly beyond networks directly managed by organizations.
By combining AppNeta’s network performance monitoring capabilities with Google Cloud’s scale, the new service delivers a unified view of application and network performance. It enables organizations to monitor network paths, assess application experience, and quickly identify whether issues originate from the network, application, or external dependencies.
The platform introduces enhanced network experience monitoring, allowing teams to track key performance metrics across entire data paths. It also provides application and agent experience monitoring across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises systems in a single interface. These capabilities are designed to reduce operational friction and eliminate the “finger-pointing” that often occurs between teams when diagnosing performance issues.
A core focus of the service is faster problem resolution. With integrated diagnostics and insights, Cloud Network Insights helps reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) by isolating root causes more quickly. It also supports proactive operations through synthetic transaction monitoring, enabling teams to detect potential issues in SaaS and web applications before they impact users.
According to Rob Enns, Vice President and General Manager of Cloud Networking at Google Cloud, the increasing deployment of distributed applications and AI agents has made comprehensive observability essential. He noted that integrating AppNeta’s capabilities into Cloud Network Insights equips organizations with the tools needed to optimize performance and rapidly identify bottlenecks.
Serge Lucio, Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s Agile Operations Division, emphasized that AppNeta’s lightweight yet powerful monitoring technology makes it well-suited for managing complex environments. He highlighted the partnership as a way to extend these capabilities to Google Cloud customers at scale.
Broadcom’s CIO, Alan Davidson, added that the company already relies on AppNeta internally to maintain seamless connectivity across its global infrastructure. He noted that the expanded collaboration will allow customers to gain similar visibility and control over their own cross-cloud environments. As enterprises continue to adopt AI-driven and distributed architectures, the demand for unified observability solutions is growing rapidly. Cloud Network Insights positions Broadcom and Google Cloud to address this need by delivering deeper, real-time insights into the performance of applications, networks, and emerging agent-based systems.
