Officially launching on March 17, 2026, the New York-based company is focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to automate and enhance cybersecurity workflows, helping organizations respond faster to evolving threats.

The funding round includes backing from Cyberstarts and Boldstart Ventures, signaling strong investor confidence in the growing role of agentic AI in cybersecurity. Surf plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, expand go-to-market strategies, and scale its team as it positions itself in a competitive and rapidly evolving market.

Founded in 2024 by Israeli cybersecurity veterans, including CEO Yair Grindlinger, Surf AI aims to help enterprises move beyond reactive security models. The company’s vision centers on enabling organizations to prevent attacks earlier by addressing vulnerabilities proactively, rather than responding after incidents occur.
