In a strategic move to strengthen its artificial intelligence offerings, Lancom has officially joined the AWS Anthropic Authorised Reseller Program for Amazon Bedrock. As a result, the company can now support enterprises that want to leverage Anthropic’s Claude models within AWS’s managed foundation model environment.
This development not only reinforces Lancom’s presence within the AWS ecosystem but also expands its ability to guide customers across New Zealand, Australia, and other global markets. More importantly, businesses evaluating large language models (LLMs) now gain access to a broader set of AI tools tailored for specific operational needs.
By joining the program, Lancom can actively assist organisations in designing, deploying, and governing AI-powered solutions built on Amazon Bedrock. Consequently, customers no longer need to depend on a single model for all workloads. Instead, they can choose from multiple models within a unified environment, improving flexibility and performance across use cases.
At the same time, Amazon Bedrock simplifies AI adoption by offering access to foundation models through a single API. This approach eliminates the complexity of managing underlying infrastructure. Therefore, organisations can experiment with generative AI while maintaining strict control over data security, compliance, and governance within their existing cloud frameworks.
Highlighting the significance of this milestone, Priscila Bernardes connected the reseller status to the company’s broader AI strategy.
“Authorised reseller programmes give us the raw materials for the creation and delivery of customer solutions,” said Priscila Bernardes, Chief Executive Officer, Lancom.
Furthermore, Lancom’s decade-long partnership with AWS has enabled it to evolve into a key player in delivering AI-driven solutions. According to Bernardes, the addition of Anthropic models significantly enhances the company’s technological capabilities.
“As an AWS partner for more than a decade and having moved decisively into delivering AI for our customers, the more tools we have in our armoury the better,” said Bernardes.
From a technical standpoint, Gregor Blaj emphasized the operational advantages of Amazon Bedrock. He explained that its unified API and AWS-managed infrastructure simplify the development and scaling of generative AI applications.
“It equips us to build and scale generative AI applications within a managed AWS environment while maintaining control over data, security, and compliance, while also using the best AI for specific tasks,” said Gregor Blaj, Technical Director, Lancom.
Meanwhile, Anthropic’s Claude model family introduces flexibility in performance and cost efficiency. Each model serves distinct purposes, allowing organisations to align AI capabilities with business requirements.
“Broadly, the models differ primarily in intelligence, speed, cost, and context-handling capabilities. For example, Claude Haiku is optimised for speed, while Sonnet is best for balanced performance. The flagship, Opus, costs more and is suitable for advanced reasoning and complex tasks like knowledge work, document analysis, customer engagement, software development and agent based workflows,” said Blaj.
In addition, Lancom’s new reseller designation enables it to guide customers beyond initial experimentation phases. The company now actively supports enterprises in transitioning from pilot projects to full-scale AI deployments. It continues to work on AI strategy, architecture, governance, and security across sectors such as healthcare, financial services, and public services.
This shift reflects a broader industry trend. Organisations are moving away from experimental AI use cases and focusing on embedding generative AI into everyday operations. Particularly in regulated industries, decision-makers are prioritising compliance, governance, and data protection when selecting AI solutions.
Bernardes acknowledged this transformation in market behaviour.
“We’re seeing a strong move from the initial experimentation that characterised 2024 and 2025 towards embedding generative AI safely into core operations,” said Bernardes.
“Being part of the AWS Anthropic Authorized Reseller Program allows us to help customers access powerful AI models through Amazon Bedrock while maintaining strong controls around security, compliance and responsible use,” said Bernardes.
Overall, Lancom’s entry into the AWS Anthropic reseller ecosystem marks a significant step toward enabling secure, scalable, and flexible AI adoption for enterprises worldwide.
