Outtake, a rising digital trust platform, has introduced a groundbreaking cybersecurity framework called the Digital Trust Kill Chain, alongside its latest innovation, the Recon Agent. Together, these solutions aim to help organizations detect, investigate, and disrupt identity-based cyber threats across the rapidly evolving AI-driven digital ecosystem.
As the internet continues to shift toward automation, AI agents are now operating independently across multiple digital channels. Enterprises increasingly rely on these agents to streamline operations and accelerate decision-making. However, attackers have already taken advantage of this transformation. They are deploying coordinated, multi-agent cyberattacks at a scale and speed that human teams struggle to monitor or counter effectively.
According to Outtake Labs’ 2026 Digital Trust Industry Pain Report, 67% of security leaders believe that generative AI has significantly expanded their attack surface. More importantly, the real challenge is no longer just identifying threats—it is acting quickly enough to stop them before they evolve and relaunch.
To address this gap, Outtake developed the Digital Trust Kill Chain, inspired by frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. This model outlines eight distinct stages that modern AI-driven attacks typically follow. These include reconnaissance through open-source intelligence and social media scraping, infrastructure setup using fake domains and accounts, and trust exploitation via impersonation tactics.
Subsequently, attackers engage targets using phishing emails, social media messages, and even fake webinars. They then capture credentials through fraudulent login pages, leading to account takeovers. Ultimately, attackers execute financial fraud, ransomware, or scams before monetizing stolen data through underground markets or cryptocurrency channels.
Traditionally, cybersecurity tools respond only after attackers initiate engagement, typically at later stages. In contrast, Outtake’s Recon Agent intervenes much earlier—during the reconnaissance and infrastructure setup phases—effectively preventing attacks before they reach potential victims.
Notably, the Recon Agent stands out as a powerful autonomous investigation tool developed in collaboration with Anthropic. It continuously traces threat signals back to their origin, mapping out associated domains, accounts, and campaigns linked to malicious operators. As a result, investigations that once required weeks can now be completed within hours.
“The agentic internet is not coming. It is here,” said Alex Arjun Dhillon, co-founder and CEO of Outtake. “As AI agents become the dominant force on the internet, adversaries are already weaponizing them. Recon Agent was built for this moment. It does not remove the fake profile. It removes the operator running hundreds of them.”
With this launch, Outtake positions itself at the forefront of proactive cybersecurity, enabling organizations to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated AI-powered threats.
