ReversingLabs has announced its participation in Locked Shields 2026, the world’s largest and most advanced live-fire cyber defense exercise organized by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. The exercise, running from April, 2026, brings together around 4,000 cybersecurity professionals from 45 nations, forming multinational teams to defend critical infrastructure in a highly realistic simulated conflict environment. Participants are required to collaborate across borders, testing not only technical defenses but also operational coordination, legal decision-making, and crisis communication.
ReversingLabs will deploy its Spectra Core-powered product portfolio to support real-time cyber defense operations during the exercise. Its tools are designed to analyze complex threats under pressure, helping teams identify malicious activity and respond quickly in high-stakes scenarios.
Locked Shields is widely regarded as a benchmark for cyber readiness, simulating large-scale attacks on national infrastructure. This year’s scenario includes systems such as power grids, air defense networks, satellite infrastructure, and 5G environments, along with expanded cloud-based components involving major platforms like AWS and Microsoft. The exercise also introduces new elements, including election systems, reflecting evolving geopolitical and cyber risk landscapes.
According to Mario Vuksan, CEO and Co-founder of ReversingLabs, real-world cyber resilience cannot be achieved without rigorous testing in environments that mirror actual threats. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between public sector defenders and private industry in building effective cyber defense capabilities.
The event is hosted on a dedicated cyber range managed by NATO’s cyber innovation hub and is designed to replicate the complexity of modern cyber warfare. Teams must defend interconnected systems while adapting to evolving attack scenarios, reinforcing the need for rapid decision-making and coordinated response. By participating in Locked Shields, ReversingLabs is contributing to a broader effort to strengthen global cyber defense readiness. The exercise highlights the increasing importance of partnerships between governments, industry, and academia in addressing sophisticated cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure.
