HackerOne has introduced h1 Validation, a new solution aimed at helping enterprises manage the growing volume and complexity of vulnerabilities uncovered by advanced AI systems. As cutting-edge models like Claude Mythos and GPT-5.4-Cyber accelerate vulnerability discovery, organizations are struggling to keep pace with remediation, creating a widening security gap.

As a result of this rapid evolution, vulnerability discovery has reached unprecedented levels. According to HackerOne’s latest platform data, submissions increased by 76% year over year, hitting a record high in March 2026. Notably, around 25% of these findings were confirmed as exploitable a consistent rate that now translates into a significantly larger number of real threats due to the surge in volume.

Moreover, the severity of vulnerabilities is also rising. The proportion of critical and high-risk issues has climbed to 32%, compared to a historical average of 26–28%. At the same time, the window between vulnerability disclosure and active exploitation has dramatically shortened to just hours. However, remediation efforts have not kept up, improving by only 19% year over year. Consequently, organizations are facing record-high vulnerability backlogs.

“AI is accelerating both the volume and the sophistication of vulnerabilities,” said Nidhi Aggarwal, Chief Product Officer at HackerOne. “AI is increasingly exploiting complex attack paths and multi-step chains, and the time to exploit them is shrinking. h1 Validation helps organizations keep up by combining agentic AI and human expertise to quickly determine what is actually exploitable, deliver clear remediation steps, and reduce the time from find to fix.”

To address these challenges, h1 Validation introduces a more efficient approach to vulnerability management. Instead of focusing solely on discovery, the solution emphasizes rapid validation and prioritization. By identifying which vulnerabilities are truly exploitable, it enables security and engineering teams to focus on the most critical risks first.

In addition, the platform is designed to handle high volumes of findings and increasingly complex attack chains at scale. This ensures that organizations can respond faster and more effectively, even as AI continues to expand the attack surface. Furthermore, by combining agentic AI with human expertise, h1 Validation delivers both speed and accuracy in assessing real-world risk.

Importantly, the launch reflects a broader shift in cybersecurity strategy. As AI continues to enhance both defensive and offensive capabilities, organizations must move beyond traditional vulnerability discovery models. Continuous validation and remediation are now essential to maintaining a strong security posture.

Ultimately, h1 Validation helps close the gap between detection and response. By streamlining the process from discovery to validation and remediation, HackerOne is enabling enterprises to convert overwhelming vulnerability volumes into actionable, measurable risk reduction in an increasingly AI-driven threat landscape.
