Nokia has joined forces with Cinia to roll out an advanced Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection solution aimed at strengthening critical infrastructure security. Through this strategic collaboration, both companies are introducing a new Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) model designed to combat increasingly sophisticated cyber threats while ensuring uninterrupted digital services.
To begin with, this MSSP framework enables Cinia to deliver a fully managed, round-the-clock DDoS protection service. By leveraging Nokia’s network-embedded detection and mitigation capabilities, the service ensures real-time threat response and continuous monitoring. As cyberattacks grow more complex, such proactive defense mechanisms become essential for maintaining network stability.
Moreover, as a key operator of Finland’s critical digital infrastructure—including international submarine cable systems—Cinia faces mounting pressure to secure its networks. To address this, Nokia has deployed its advanced Nokia Deepfield Defender, which integrates artificial intelligence with network-level visibility. Consequently, this empowers Cinia to detect and mitigate threats faster while safeguarding vital connectivity services that support Finland’s digital economy.
In addition, the jointly developed solution enhances protection against modern DDoS threats, including botnet-driven attacks. By combining Nokia’s technological innovation with Cinia’s deep expertise in infrastructure management, the partnership ensures improved resilience, uptime, and service continuity. The solution also offers real-time contextual awareness, enabling organizations to respond effectively to evolving threat landscapes.
Another key advantage lies in the Deepfield platform’s ability to provide detailed network visibility. Through advanced analytics and telemetry correlation, Cinia gains actionable insights into network performance. Furthermore, integration with Deepfield Genome expands this visibility by incorporating global internet intelligence, thereby helping identify anomalies quickly and optimize capacity planning.
Importantly, this collaboration reflects Nokia’s broader strategy to secure national infrastructure assets while reinforcing Cinia’s position as a leading cybersecurity service provider. Together, they aim to deliver a robust, future-ready defense system backed by local expertise and continuous innovation.
