Trend Micro’s enterprise business accelerates its transformation as AI security category leader
Trend Micro Incorporated, through its enterprise cybersecurity division TrendAI, has announced a strategic engagement with Anthropic to integrate Claude models across its platform. With this collaboration, TrendAI™ aims to enhance AI-driven security operations, automate workflows, and strengthen vulnerability research across modern digital environments.
As cyber threats increasingly target AI systems and infrastructure, organizations are under growing pressure to secure complex and rapidly evolving environments. Therefore, TrendAI™ is embedding Claude models to power agentic workflows and enable AI-native security operations. At the same time, the company plans to leverage these capabilities to improve threat detection and accelerate real-world risk reduction.
Rachel Jin, Chief Platform and Business Officer, Head of TrendAI™: “We launched TrendAI™ to define the AI security category. This next phase is about scaling that vision globally, with leading partners like Anthropic. Our broad, strategic collaboration across research, defense, and innovation will define how AI is secured moving forward.”
Moreover, this collaboration extends across multiple areas, including threat research, platform innovation, and global go-to-market strategies. By integrating Claude, TrendAI™ can operate across the entire AI security lifecycle from identifying vulnerabilities to deploying automated defenses and enabling intelligent, AI-driven operations.
In addition, one of the key focus areas is advancing AI threat research. TrendAI™ is scaling its efforts to address the expanding attack surface of AI systems, building on established initiatives such as its Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) and Pwn2Own programs. These initiatives play a critical role in identifying real-world vulnerabilities before they can be exploited in production environments.
Ash Alhashim, Head of Cybersecurity GTM at Anthropic: “For 35 years, TrendAI™ has been at the forefront of cybersecurity. By using Claude to power TrendAI Vision One™ and initiatives like TrendAI™ Zero Day Initiative™ (ZDI) and Pwn2Own, TrendAI™ is advancing the next iteration of vulnerability discovery and reporting and tilting the scales toward defenders.”
Furthermore, the partnership emphasizes AI-native innovation. By incorporating Claude models into its platform, TrendAI™ aims to enhance automation, reduce alert fatigue, and enable faster decision-making. Consequently, organizations can scale their cybersecurity operations more effectively while keeping pace with AI adoption.
At the same time, this collaboration highlights a broader industry shift toward integrating advanced AI capabilities into cybersecurity frameworks. As threats become more sophisticated, the need for intelligent, adaptive defenses is becoming increasingly critical.
The announcement also comes ahead of TrendAI™’s upcoming Spark Leadership Exchange in Phoenix, Arizona, where over 600 cybersecurity leaders are expected to attend. Notably, Anthropic will join TrendAI™ on stage at the event, alongside other industry experts, to discuss the future of AI security and share insights with global enterprise leaders.
Overall, this strategic engagement underscores a shared commitment between TrendAI™ and Anthropic to shape the next generation of AI security. By combining advanced AI models with deep cybersecurity expertise, both organizations are working to strengthen defenses and proactively address emerging threats in an AI-driven world.
