SUSE has announced an expansion of its Cloud Elevate Program, part of the SUSE One Partner Program, aimed at making it easier for organizations to purchase and deploy mission-critical software through major cloud platforms. The update allows customers to procure SUSE solutions directly via Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud using their existing cloud credits. The move is designed to remove traditional procurement complexities that often slow down digital transformation projects. By enabling organizations to use pre-committed cloud spending for SUSE products, the company is aligning software purchasing with the speed and flexibility of cloud-native environments.
Hayley Wienszczak, Global Head of Ecosystem Programs at SUSE, said the expanded program focuses on giving customers and partners greater flexibility in how they buy and deploy software. She noted that simplifying procurement processes can significantly reduce delays and improve overall project execution.
The updated Cloud Elevate Program introduces new commercial frameworks that streamline purchasing across AWS and Google Cloud. These include enhanced capabilities for distributors and partners to offer customized pricing and terms while maintaining consolidated billing within a single cloud account. This approach reduces administrative complexity and allows organizations to manage their software and infrastructure investments more efficiently.
The program also addresses a key challenge for enterprises managing annual cloud commitments. By allowing SUSE solutions such as SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and SUSE Rancher Prime to be purchased using existing cloud credits, organizations can maximize their cloud investments while accelerating deployment timelines.
According to SUSE, the streamlined procurement model can significantly improve operational efficiency. Organizations may experience faster deal closures, reduced administrative overhead through standardized contracts, and earlier deployment of software for engineering teams compared to traditional purchasing methods. The expansion also supports SUSE’s partner ecosystem by enabling partners to guide customers through cloud transitions while maintaining preferred technology stacks and vendor relationships. As enterprises continue shifting toward cloud-first strategies, simplifying procurement and consumption models is becoming a critical factor in accelerating innovation and time-to-value.
