AttackIQ, a leading provider of Adversarial Exposure Validation (AEV) solutions and founding research partner of the MITRE Center for Threat-Informed Defense (CTID), has appointed Jon Baker as its new Vice President of Threat-Informed Defense. In this role, Baker will drive initiatives aimed at expanding the adoption of threat-informed defense strategies, helping organizations enhance security outcomes through a combination of services and technology.

Baker brings extensive experience from his 23-year tenure at MITRE, where he progressed from a software engineer to leadership positions focused on standards development, cyber threat intelligence, and adversary emulation. He established and led MITRE’s cyber threat intelligence and adversary emulation team, overseeing programs such as ATT&CK® Evaluations and CALDERA™, MITRE’s open-source platform for adversary emulation. Baker also co-founded and directed the MITRE Center for Threat-Informed Defense, growing it into a globally recognized hub for collaborative research that has influenced threat-informed defense practices across the cybersecurity industry.
