Passwords will now be managed exclusively through the browser’s built in password manager, separating credential management from general data clearing functions and reducing the risk of accidental deletion.
For enterprise users, Microsoft Edge 146 introduces new Local Network Access controls, giving administrators more granular authority over how web applications interact with devices on a local network. These policies allow organizations to define trusted IP address ranges and control whether specific websites can send requests to local network resources. This is particularly relevant for enterprise environments where unauthorized access to internal systems could pose security risks.
