Built on AI from the ground up, Fabrix brings AI to IAM, revolutionizing how enterprises can manage and secure both human and non-human identities across all environments

Fabrix Security emerged from stealth with $8 million in seed funding to introduce Fabrix, an AI-Native Identity Security solution that enables enterprises to easily manage and secure both human and non-human identities (such as bots, API keys, service accounts, and AI agents), to enforce least privilege and reduce the attack surface, without compromising business velocity. The seed funding, led by Norwest, Merlin Ventures, and Jibe Ventures, will be used for additional product development as well as sales and marketing.

Fabrix Security was co-founded by CEO Raz Rotenberg, an AI expert and a founding engineer and R&D lead for Run.ai, which was acquired last year by NVIDIA, and CTO Ofir Yakovian, the former Technical Lead for Orca Security and Microsoft Entra, with deep experience in identity security. Fabrix Security is backed by top cybersecurity and AI leaders from NVIDIA, Cyera, Palo Alto Networks, Tenable, Google, and Microsoft.

Built on AI from the ground up, Fabrix is designed to deliver smart, actionable, and auditable IAM decisions with reasoning trails and evidence-backed insights. With AI agents, specifically created and trained to master IAM tasks, Fabrix enables enterprises to scale while securing the fast-changing business environment.

“IAM problems have been around for decades, but identity sprawl has made them worse. Both human and non-human identities are growing exponentially. At this scale, traditional IAM systems that rely on manual processes can’t achieve their main objectives, enforcing least privilege and reducing the attack surface. With the AI revolution, Fabrix can deliver significant value to customers by making these processes intelligent and autonomous, in ways that could never have been done before,” said Rotenberg.

“Enterprise identity security teams continue to struggle with identity governance and administration (IGA) challenges like manual processes, inefficient user access reviews, and integration across broad portfolios of workforce apps. AI holds the promise of streamlining IGA operations, and Fabrix Security brings domain expertise and a new approach that holds the promise of turbocharging identity team effectiveness,” said Todd Thiemann, Principal Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group.

AI-Native IAM is a new generation of IAM solutions architected from the ground up to leverage AI for managing digital identities, permissions, and access policies. Unlike traditional IAM systems that rely on manual processes, AI-native IAM adapts permissions based on runtime usage and leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) to discover, understand, and optimize every aspect of identity and access across both human and non-human identities.

“Identity and access management is a well-known IT and security pain point. Fabrix Security is using new AI technologies to tackle this difficult and persistent problem,” said Dror Nahumi, General Partner at Norwest. “Its technology leverages advanced reasoning methodologies to monitor access decisions. This revolutionary approach adds a powerful layer of intelligence to enhance existing identity platforms,” added Nahumi.

“The identity space is on the verge of major disruption. AI’s ability to multitask at scale and make instant decisions will eliminate today’s approval bottlenecks and long wait times. Identity will become one of the most profoundly impacted areas of cybersecurity in the near future,” said Shay Michel, Managing Partner at Merlin Ventures.
