As phishing attacks grow more advanced, Darktrace managed email security MSSP is enabling service providers to deliver AI driven protection at scale across enterprise environments.
Darktrace has introduced its first managed security service offering tailored for Managed Security Service Providers, expanding its Darktrace EMAIL solution into a fully managed, AI native email security service. The launch, supported by updates to the Darktrace Defenders Partner Program, is designed to help partners deliver real time detection, investigation, and response across email and messaging ecosystems.
The announcement comes as email based threats continue to evolve rapidly. According to Darktrace, analysis of 32 million phishing emails detected in 2025 shows AI assisted phishing attacks increased from 32 percent to 38 percent year over year. Additionally, approximately 17 percent of threats bypass traditional secure email gateways, highlighting gaps in conventional defenses.
To address these challenges, Darktrace managed email security MSSP enables partners to provide continuous protection powered by self learning AI. The system analyzes communication patterns across users and organizations, identifying subtle behavioral anomalies that may indicate threats such as phishing, business email compromise, or account takeover. This adaptive approach replaces static rule based systems with dynamic detection tailored to each environment.
“As organizations face increasingly sophisticated and automated cyber threats, security operations must evolve beyond traditional alert monitoring,” said Feras Tappuni, CEO and Founder of SecurityHQ, a global managed security service provider. “At SecurityHQ, we focus on engineering security performance for our customers combining global threat intelligence, advanced AI driven detection, and human expertise to reduce noise and accelerate response. Technologies like those offered by Darktrace help strengthen that capability by enabling faster detection and deeper investigation across complex environments. By integrating these capabilities into our global security operations, we’re helping organizations improve protection while giving security teams the clarity and confidence they need to respond effectively.”
The new service extends protection beyond email to include collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, user identities, and sensitive data. It incorporates features such as data loss prevention, domain monitoring, and behavior driven security training through Darktrace Adaptive Human Defense, helping organizations prevent data exfiltration and strengthen user awareness against social engineering.
Through this model, MSSPs can automate threat investigation and prioritization, maintain consistent protection across multiple customer environments, and reduce the operational burden associated with large volumes of alerts.
“As a longstanding Darktrace customer and partner, we’ve seen firsthand how effective its AI driven approach can be in stopping advanced threats,” said Bob Keblusek, Chief Innovation and Technology Officer at Sentinel Technologies. “Darktrace has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation in cybersecurity, delivering solutions that provide real, long term value for organizations. That track record made it a natural fit to build a managed security practice around their technology. With this new managed services model, we’re able to bring Darktrace’s advanced capabilities to more customers, helping them strengthen protection against evolving threats while reducing operational burden.”
“Our partners are at the forefront of helping organizations defend against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats,” said Dan Monahan, Chief Partner Officer, Darktrace. “By expanding MSSP capabilities within the Darktrace Defenders Partner Program and introducing AI-native email security services, we’re enabling partners to bring innovative AI-powered protection to market as managed services, helping them protect customers, scale their operations, and unlock new revenue opportunities.”
To support service delivery at scale, Darktrace has also enhanced its ActiveAI Security Portal, introducing a SOC alert triage dashboard that provides multi tenant visibility and AI driven investigation capabilities across multiple customer environments. This enables analysts to manage incidents and coordinate responses from a unified interface.
As organizations increasingly rely on managed services for cybersecurity, Darktrace managed email security MSSP reflects a broader shift toward AI driven, outcome focused security models. By enabling partners to deliver advanced protection as a service, Darktrace is helping expand access to enterprise grade email security while improving efficiency and resilience across global customer environments.
