At the RSAC Conference 2026, RSA Security announced an expansion of its support for the new Microsoft 365 E7: The Frontier Suite, reinforcing its commitment to advancing passwordless authentication in the age of AI-driven productivity. With this move, RSA is enabling organizations to enhance security, streamline user experiences, and maintain resilient operations as they adapt to increasingly complex digital environments.
As enterprises continue to integrate AI into their workflows, the need for robust identity protection has become more critical than ever. Therefore, RSA is strengthening its passwordless capabilities by integrating RSA® ID Plus for Microsoft with Microsoft 365 E7. This integration ensures trusted authentication not only for human users but also for AI agents, thereby safeguarding sensitive data and privileged operations across hybrid, cloud, and on-premises environments.
Moreover, this development builds upon RSA’s ongoing collaboration with Microsoft Intelligent Security Association. Previously, the partnership introduced innovations such as RSA Advisor for Admin Threats in Microsoft Security Copilot and the RSA ID Plus Admin Logs Connector. As a result, the expanded support further deepens the strategic alignment between RSA and Microsoft in delivering integrated security solutions.
“The rise of AI agents in enterprises means organizations need to rethink how they protect all identities (human and machine),” said Greg Nelson, CEO of RSA. “RSA’s expanded passwordless authentication capabilities and advanced MFA resilience features, now available in Microsoft E7, enable organizations to eliminate passwords, prevent advanced identity threats, and optimize secure access at scale.”
In addition, organizations can now deploy RSA authentication through Microsoft Entra configurations using the new Microsoft Entra External MFA integration. This capability allows enterprises to leverage the full range of RSA authentication features while enhancing identity security with additional protective layers.
“The partnership between RSA and Microsoft is essential for customers facing increasingly complex security demands,” said Laura Marx, RSA’s Chief Marketing and Growth Officer. “By working together through the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association and promoting integrated solutions for Microsoft Entra ID, we empower highly secure, highly complex, and highly regulated organizations with the most resilient and innovative security measures available.”
Furthermore, RSA continues to expand its leadership in passwordless solutions by offering one of the industry’s most comprehensive portfolios. This includes support for FIDO2 standards, QR codes, one-time passwords (OTP), biometrics, and hardware-based authentication. At the same time, the company introduced new enhancements that can be deployed independently or alongside Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring flexibility across diverse enterprise environments.
These enhancements include an upgraded version of desktop passwordless capabilities for macOS and Windows, featuring online, offline, and hybrid high-availability options. Additionally, RSA has improved mobile access keys with proximity verification and extended passwordless support to data centers, including Linux and other operating systems. Consequently, organizations can now implement secure, passwordless access across all users and environments without compromise.
“The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association represents a dynamic and trusted community of leading security innovators around the world,” said Maria Thomson, Director of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association. “Our partners, including RSA Security, are united by a shared commitment to fostering cybersecurity cooperation by empowering customers to anticipate, identify, and address emerging threats more quickly, effectively, and confidently.”
“At RSA, passwordless security isn’t just a feature; it’s a discipline that needs to be maintained when all else fails,” said Jim Taylor, President and Chief Product and Strategy Officer at RSA. “While the industry talks about passwordless security for demos, RSA offers passwordless security for outages, edge cases, and scenarios no one else wants to consider. With our newly announced enhancements, ranging from version 2 of passwordless security for macOS and Windows desktops, to high-availability options that work online, offline, and in hybrid environments, plus advanced mobile access keys and data center support, RSA’s passwordless security ensures organizations never have to compromise.”
Ultimately, RSA’s latest announcement underscores a broader industry shift toward eliminating passwords and securing both human and machine identities. By expanding support for Microsoft 365 E7 and enhancing passwordless capabilities, RSA is helping organizations stay ahead of evolving identity threats while enabling secure, scalable, and future-ready digital operations.
