Rockwell Automation has officially opened a new Security Operations Center (SOC) in Singapore, reinforcing cybersecurity protections for industrial organizations across the Asia-Pacific region. With this strategic move, the company strengthens its regional presence while advancing its commitment to secure digital transformation.

Importantly, the new SOC operates as part of Rockwell’s global Managed Security Services network. It delivers 24/7 real-time monitoring, advanced threat detection, and rapid incident response powered by SecureOT Security Monitoring and Response capabilities. As industrial environments continue to experience convergence between IT and OT systems, the facility enables enterprises to detect, respond to, and remediate cybersecurity threats faster and more effectively.

Located at Rockwell’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, the SOC now serves as a regional hub for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services. The center collects and analyzes data from multiple vendors in a neutral environment. Furthermore, it integrates contextualized threat intelligence with risk-based prioritization frameworks. As a result, industrial teams can focus on the most critical vulnerabilities across complex, multi-vendor ecosystems while benefiting from guided, step-by-step remediation support from Rockwell’s cybersecurity experts.

Highlighting the broader industry context, Marcelo Tarkieltaub, Regional Director for Southeast Asia at Rockwell Automation, emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in digital transformation.

“Cybersecurity today is inseparable from digital transformation,” said Marcelo Tarkieltaub, Regional Director for Southeast Asia at Rockwell Automation. “Our new regional SOC in Singapore demonstrates our strong commitment to supporting manufacturers in connecting, automating, and comprehensively protecting their operations. Concentrating multiple capabilities in one facility enhances collaboration, shortens response times, and increases the level of protection for our customers’ critical operations. It also allows customers to directly experience and evaluate our capabilities – a crucial step in their journey to choosing the right cybersecurity partner.”

At the same time, the SOC strengthens Singapore’s position as a regional cybersecurity hub. The initiative encourages collaboration with government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners to enhance resilience and cultivate skilled cybersecurity professionals. Notably, Rockwell has already onboarded young graduates from cybersecurity disciplines to support global industrial clients.

Meanwhile, cyber threats across the Asia-Pacific region continue to intensify. Businesses face growing risks including data theft, extortion, and ransomware attacks largely due to the region’s critical role in global supply chains and advanced manufacturing. According to Rockwell Automation’s 10th annual State of Smart Manufacturing 2025 report, cybersecurity now ranks as the second most significant external risk for manufacturers. Nearly half of surveyed companies plan to implement AI and machine learning in cybersecurity applications within the next year.

To address these evolving threats, the SOC leverages a Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform. By combining automation, AI, and advanced analytics, Rockwell accelerates threat detection and streamlines response workflows. Consequently, customers gain access to a unified interface that monitors security incidents across multiple global locations an essential capability for enterprises managing more than 100 sites.

In addition, the new facility aligns with Singapore’s national strategy to build a secure digital economy. Through collaboration with the Cyber Security Authority of Singapore and other partners, Rockwell will conduct training sessions and real-world OT attack simulations. These programs allow participants to experience industrial cybersecurity scenarios firsthand.

Ultimately, the Singapore SOC builds upon Rockwell Automation’s SecureOT portfolio, which spans strategic consulting, industrial network management, asset management, risk and vulnerability assessment, and incident response services ensuring comprehensive protection for modern industrial operations.
