Rockwell Automation has officially inaugurated a new Security Operations Center (SOC) in Singapore, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening cybersecurity resilience for industrial customers across the Asia Pacific region. As the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, Rockwell continues to expand its security infrastructure in response to rising cyber threats targeting manufacturers and critical industries.

Located at the company’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, the new SOC operates as part of Rockwell’s global Managed Security Services network. Notably, the facility delivers 24/7 real-time monitoring, advanced threat detection, and rapid incident response powered by SecureOT Security Monitoring and Response capabilities. As IT and OT environments increasingly converge, the center enables industrial organizations to detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents faster and more effectively.

Moreover, the SOC functions as a regional hub for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services. It integrates cross-vendor data collection, contextual cyber threat analysis, and risk-based prioritization. Consequently, industry teams can address critical vulnerabilities within complex, multi-vendor ecosystems while accelerating system recovery with direct support from Rockwell’s cybersecurity specialists.

“Cybersecurity is now inseparable from digital transformation,” said Marcelo Tarkieltaub, Regional Director, Southeast Asia, Rockwell Automation. “Our latest regional SOC in Singapore reflects our commitment to helping manufacturers connect, automate and protect their operations across the board. By having multiple capabilities in one location, we can collaborate more closely and respond more quickly, providing stronger protection for the operational activities that are critical to our customers. This facility also helps customers to test and learn about our capabilities as an important step when choosing the right cybersecurity partner.”

He added, “The inauguration of the regional SOC also strengthens Singapore’s role as a cybersecurity hub in the region. We look forward to closer collaboration with government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners to improve the resilience of the industry, as well as develop human resources in the field of cybersecurity. Currently, we have also recruited a number of young professionals with cybersecurity backgrounds to support global clients in the field of industrial security.”

Importantly, companies across Asia Pacific continue to face mounting threats, including ransomware attacks, data breaches, and cyber extortion. Given the region’s pivotal role in global supply chains and advanced manufacturing, these risks carry significant operational and economic consequences. According to Rockwell Automation’s 10th Annual 2025 State of Smart Manufacturing Report, cybersecurity now ranks as the second most significant external risk for manufacturers in Asia Pacific. Nearly half of surveyed organizations plan to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies within the next year to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

To address these challenges, the SOC leverages Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) technology. This platform combines automation, AI, and analytics to streamline and accelerate responses to cyber threats. As a result, Rockwell’s MDR services provide unified visibility into cybersecurity incidents across multiple operational sites, including global manufacturers overseeing more than 100 facilities.

Furthermore, the new facility aligns with Singapore’s national ambition to build a secure digital economy. Rockwell complements its efforts through collaboration with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and industry partners to elevate industrial cybersecurity maturity throughout the region. In addition, the SOC will serve as a training and simulation center, allowing customers to gain hands-on experience handling real-world OT threat scenarios.

Ultimately, the Singapore SOC strengthens Rockwell Automation’s SecureOT Solution Suite, which encompasses Strategic Advisory, Managed Industrial Networking and Infrastructure, Asset Management, Risk and Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response services positioning the company as a strategic cybersecurity partner for industrial enterprises across Asia Pacific.
