As demand for scalable and sovereign network infrastructure continues to grow, IP Infusion has announced a strategic partnership with EXAsystems by Energo-Tel, a subsidiary of EXATEL. Through this collaboration, EXAsystems will deliver turnkey, enterprise-grade networking solutions powered by IP Infusion’s OcNOS® open network operating system, supporting public sector organizations, telecom providers, and data center operators across Poland.
Importantly, this partnership builds upon EXATEL’s multi-year deployment of OcNOS®, which plays a central role in its broader mission to establish cyber sovereignty within the country. As organizations increasingly prioritize control over their digital infrastructure, this initiative reflects a strategic shift from relying on external technologies to building domestically managed, resilient network ecosystems.
Moreover, EXAsystems is positioning itself as a key enabler of this transformation by bridging the gap between network operations and system integration. By combining real-world service provider expertise with open networking technologies, the company aims to deliver end-to-end solutions that simplify network modernization.
“EXAsystems is bridging the gap between network operations and system integration,” said Bartosz Gajda, CEO of EXAsystems (Energo-Tel brand). “This partnership makes us the first in the region to offer a true synergy between service provider field experience and open networking tech. We deliver a seamless networking experience, from planning to deployment to operations, enabling customers to modernize with confidence.”
At the same time, EXATEL has already made significant progress in building a robust, nationwide network infrastructure. By transitioning from a technology consumer to an infrastructure creator, the company now operates a multi-layer EVPN-MPLS architecture spanning core, aggregation, and access networks. This architecture leverages carrier-grade Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing, orchestrated through EXATEL’s in-house SDN controller and deployed on modern 100G and 400G whitebox platforms.
In addition, the network incorporates Open ZR+ optics for IP-over-DWDM, allowing for greater fiber efficiency while maintaining interoperability across multiple vendors. As a result, the infrastructure not only supports high-capacity data transmission but also ensures flexibility and scalability for future growth.
“Our engineers have worked closely with OcNOS for four years, operating it across more than 300 nodes within large-scale networks spanning Poland and international hubs,” said Jacek Terpiłowski, CTO of EXATEL. “We have deployed over 150 links at 400G and another 170 at 100G, creating a high-capacity backbone for mission-critical services nationwide. We are now extending that real-world operational experience to both Exatel and EXAsystems customers as a proven, carrier-grade platform.”
Furthermore, EXATEL’s extensive optical transport network spanning over 23,000 kilometers of fiber and connecting key hubs in Germany and the Czech Republic provides a strong foundation for large-scale modernization projects. Leveraging this infrastructure, EXAsystems is now expanding its role as a full-service systems integrator, offering advanced solutions including routing, switching, EVPN-MPLS, and IP-over-DWDM transport.
“More than 600 network operators worldwide already trust IP Infusion and our OcNOS open networking software to support their most demanding and mission-critical workloads,” said Tom Savoie, CEO of IP Infusion. “We are pleased to see EXATEL, through its EXAsystems subsidiary, extend that trust by expanding the reach of its turnkey telecommunications and networking infrastructure solutions across Poland.”
Ultimately, this partnership highlights a growing trend toward open, flexible, and sovereign networking solutions. By combining proven operational expertise with advanced open networking software, IP Infusion and EXAsystems are enabling organizations in Poland to modernize their networks with greater control, efficiency, and confidence.
