Cybersecurity powerhouse Palo Alto Networks and global energy technology giant SLB today announced having extended their working partnership as part of a new strategic alliance.

This collaboration will bring together SLB’s cloud and edge technologies, and deep domain expertise in the energy industry, with the cross-industry, platform-based cybersecurity solutions of Palo Alto Networks, as previously mentioned. This will mean that security infrastructures, far beyond those of SLB, will be protected, opening a way for even the more advanced solutions that the rising cyber threats deserve, while growth in digital solutions and artificial intelligence becomes part of the industry momentum.

“As our industry progresses further along the digital transformation journey, cybersecurity becomes a game-changing imperative in our operations and the digital solutions we provide to our customers,” said SLB CEO Olivier Le Peuch. “Together, we will enhance our consideration as the digital partner of preference for our customers.“

As part of the enhanced collaboration, SLB will deploy the Precision AI™ Security Platform based on Prisma® SASE, Prisma Cloud, and Cortex XSIAM® by Palo Alto Networks to ensure end-to-end security across their network, cloud, and edge environments and enable secure collaboration for thousands of domain and AI users on SLB’s Delfi™ Digital Platform. The two companies will also facilitate the edge solution transformation and deployment for respective products and services, which are critical to having new consumers of energy moving towards automated and autonomous operating systems.
