The Haute-Garonne Departmental Council manages a vast collection of data covering different functions, including building plans, architectural services, departmental archives, social assistance requests, and even transport cards. This diversity of formats and data silos made recovery a long process that required many internal resources. To resolve any incident, “You had to be an expert in backup administration,” explains Jean-Xavier Mauruc, database systems administrator at the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council.
The migration to Cohesity has allowed the Departmental Council to harmonize all their data into a simple-to-use, high-performance solution. Cohesity DataProtect helped to streamline the Departmental Council’s backup operations by reducing the number of backup jobs from 150 to around 15.
