As nations strengthen defenses against evolving cyber threats, international collaboration is becoming a cornerstone of national cybersecurity strategies. Kaspersky has renewed its partnership with Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency, BSSN, extending a long term effort to enhance the country’s cyber resilience.

The renewed agreement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding first signed in 2021 and reflects continued cooperation between the two organizations in addressing cybersecurity challenges across Indonesia. Over the past few years, the partnership has included knowledge exchange initiatives, with BSSN representatives actively participating in Kaspersky’s global cybersecurity forums and events.

Under the updated agreement, the Kaspersky BSSN cybersecurity collaboration will focus on four strategic areas aimed at strengthening Indonesia’s digital security framework. These include policy development, international cooperation, technical collaboration, and joint capacity building initiatives.

Policy collaboration will involve joint discussions on cybersecurity regulations and frameworks to support the protection of critical infrastructure and strengthen the national security posture. At the same time, the partnership will promote international cooperation by facilitating the exchange of threat intelligence, global insights, and best practices to improve readiness against emerging cyber risks.

“By leveraging our global expertise, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to a safer and more resilient digital environment in Indonesia,” said Heng Lee, Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Asia Pacific and Japan at Kaspersky.

Technical collaboration forms another key pillar of the initiative, with both organizations working together to share research findings and cybersecurity expertise. This effort is expected to enhance detection, response, and defense capabilities across Indonesia’s public and private sectors.

In addition, the Kaspersky BSSN cybersecurity collaboration will include joint initiatives focused on awareness, training, and skills development. These programs aim to empower stakeholders with the knowledge and tools needed to address increasingly complex cyber threats and support long term resilience.

“In the future, this collaboration will allow us to invest in the development of skills, knowledge, and frameworks that will support the country’s cyber resilience even in the years to come,” said Adrian Hia, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Kaspersky.

The extension of this partnership reflects a broader trend of cross border cooperation in cybersecurity, as governments and private sector organizations work together to address global threats. By combining local expertise with international capabilities, initiatives like the Kaspersky BSSN cybersecurity collaboration play a critical role in building robust and adaptive security ecosystems.

As cyber threats continue to evolve in scale and sophistication, sustained partnerships and knowledge sharing will remain essential for countries seeking to protect critical infrastructure, safeguard data, and maintain trust in digital systems.
