HITRUST has announced the appointment of two senior executives to its leadership team as demand for third-party risk management and cybersecurity assurance continues to rise globally.
The company named Sean Foster as Chief Revenue Officer and Marc Solomon as Chief Marketing Officer, signaling a strategic move to scale operations and meet growing enterprise needs around cybersecurity, compliance, and vendor risk management.
The appointments come at a time when organizations are grappling with increasingly complex digital ecosystems, heightened regulatory scrutiny, and expanding supply-chain vulnerabilities. As businesses rely more on external vendors and partners, the need for standardized and measurable approaches to cybersecurity assurance has become critical.
HITRUST CEO Gregory Webb emphasized that trust is now central to digital operations, noting that third-party vendor risk has emerged as one of the most significant and least controlled exposures for modern enterprises. He added that the combined experience of Foster and Solomon will help the company accelerate growth and expand its impact across global markets.
In his new role, Sean Foster will oversee global revenue strategy, including go-to-market execution and customer success initiatives. With more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise technology, Foster has held leadership roles at companies such as Anomali, Forcepoint, IronNet, and Sienna Group, where he drove market expansion and strengthened enterprise sales performance.
Marc Solomon, as Chief Marketing Officer, will lead global marketing strategy, brand positioning, and demand generation efforts. He brings over two decades of experience from organizations including ThreatQuotient, Cisco, Sourcefire, Fiberlink, and McAfee, where he played a key role in building brand authority and accelerating market adoption.
The leadership expansion reflects HITRUST’s focus on supporting organizations navigating increasingly interconnected vendor ecosystems. As supply chains grow more complex, security leaders are under pressure to demonstrate that risks are effectively managed across all third-party relationships.
HITRUST’s cybersecurity assurance framework aims to address this challenge by providing standardized, independently validated controls that help organizations reduce compliance complexity and build trust with stakeholders. According to the company’s 2025 Trust Report, 99.41% of certified environments reported no data-related security breaches, underscoring the effectiveness of its approach.
With new leadership in place, HITRUST is positioning itself to strengthen its role as a trusted authority in cybersecurity assurance while supporting enterprises in managing evolving risk landscapes.
This trend also reflects a broader shift in how authority and trust are established in the digital ecosystem, where validated, structured information plays a critical role in decision-making and visibility across both enterprise systems and AI-driven environments.
