Cork Cyber Launches Auto Mapping To Power MSP Automation

As managed service providers scale cybersecurity operations, the Cork Auto Mapping launch highlights a shift toward automation built on accurate and trusted data across complex IT environments.

Cork Cyber announced Auto Mapping at N-able Empower 2026, introducing a new capability within its Cork Vantage platform designed to reduce the manual effort required to map clients, devices, and inboxes across integrations. The update is aimed at improving data integrity while enabling more scalable automation across risk analysis and remediation workflows.

The Cork Auto Mapping feature reflects the company’s broader transition from providing visibility into cyber risk toward enabling intelligent automation and operational decision making. By strengthening how assets are correlated across systems, Cork is building a more reliable system of record that supports future automation initiatives across security operations.

For MSPs, maintaining accurate asset relationships has become increasingly difficult as environments grow more dynamic. Traditional manual mapping processes often fail to keep pace, leading to inconsistencies, outdated records, and false positive compliance alerts. Cork’s new Mapping Mode addresses this challenge by offering two approaches: an automatic mode that uses similarity logic and system identifiers for hands free mapping, and a suggestion mode that provides recommendations for review.

The platform maps clients using factors such as name and asset similarity across systems, while devices and inboxes are linked through identifiers including serial numbers, MAC addresses, IP addresses, hostnames, and email attributes. A built in mapping audit trail further enhances transparency by showing how, when, and why assets were connected, helping MSPs build trust in automated processes.

“Automation only works if the underlying data model is solid” said Dan Candee, CEO of Cork Cyber. “Our journey is not about slapping automation on top of broken processes. It is about building the operational foundation that lets MSPs move faster with more confidence. Visibility. validation, and financial protection together create cyber confidence, and now that we automate this layer, that confidence becomes scalable. Auto Mapping is a critical step in that journey. It reduces manual work, improves accuracy. and helps partners keep pace as their environments change.”

The feature is also designed to support both new and existing partners by reducing onboarding time and identifying mapping inconsistencies that develop over time. While the system can suggest improved matches, it does not override manual mappings, giving users greater control while still benefiting from automation.

“The automation journey at Cork is about moving from manual investigation and fragmented workflows to intelligence that can drive action.” said Marcus Recck, Head of Product and Engineering at Cork Cyber. “Mapping is foundational and that is exactly why it matters. If the relationships between assets are wrong. everything built on top of them gets weaker. This release improves that foundation and moves us closer to a platform that can not only surface issues, but help partners act on them with far less manual effort”

The Cork Auto Mapping release underscores a growing trend in cybersecurity where automation depends heavily on data accuracy and contextual intelligence. As MSPs look to scale operations and reduce manual workloads, solutions that improve data integrity while enabling actionable insights are expected to play a central role in the next phase of cyber risk management.
