Abnormal AI has announced the launch of Attune 1.0, a new behavioral foundation model built to combat the rising wave of AI-driven cyberattacks. Trained on more than one billion behavioral signals, the model already powers 85% of detections across the Abnormal Behavior Platform, creating a unified intelligence layer for modern cybersecurity.

As cybercriminals increasingly leverage artificial intelligence to craft highly personalized and convincing attacks, traditional security tools are falling behind. These legacy systems rely heavily on static rules and known threat signatures, making them less effective against novel and evolving threats. Attune 1.0 addresses this gap by focusing on behavioral understanding learning what normal communication patterns look like within an organization and quickly identifying anomalies.

What sets Attune apart is its unified multimodal architecture. Instead of analyzing identity, behavior, and content separately, it combines these signals to uncover hidden attack patterns. This allows security teams to detect sophisticated threats that would otherwise go unnoticed. According to the company, the model is already identifying approximately 150,000 more attack campaigns per week compared to earlier systems, while also delivering 50% higher precision.

The platform has already demonstrated its effectiveness in real-world scenarios. Notably, it detected and blocked a Microsoft Teams OAuth phishing campaign two months before it was publicly disclosed. By extending protection across email, identity, and account takeover risks, Attune strengthens overall security while reducing false positives.

In addition to enhanced detection, Abnormal AI is also improving user visibility and control. New features like Detection 360 Insights provide detailed explanations behind AI-driven decisions, helping security teams better understand threats. Custom AI models, currently in early access, allow organizations to tailor the system to their specific environments using simple inputs.

The company is also advancing its human risk management capabilities. Updates to its AI Phishing Coach now offer personalized, real-world training based on actual threats, moving beyond traditional one-size-fits-all compliance programs.
