Over his two-decade tenure at Cisco, he held multiple executive and technical roles, including Vice President for the Worldwide Technical Assistance Center, Senior Vice President-CTO Services, and Senior Vice President-Global Governments Solutions Group. His leadership has been instrumental in securing critical systems and advancing cybersecurity best practices at the highest levels.

Beyond Cisco, Akers has provided strategic cybersecurity advisory to the U.S. government, including the Department of Defense and the federal intelligence community for over 15 years.
