Simon Green
Simon oversees Pax8’s technology related strategies globally. He built his career around solving ‘how to do tech properly,’ architecting, building, and maintaining hosted infrastructures for a diverse range of clients, including high street eCommerce brands, blue-chip companies, financial trading institutions, and even premiership football clubs.
Entrepreneurial in spirit, Simon started his first business as a teenager—selling and fitting car audio systems—and ran a music community in the early 2000s. Music is still a passion today, and it’s closely linked to tech as it uses the same creative and problem-solving skills. Simon co-founded the UK-based cloud consultancy business, Wirehive, now part of Pax8, with Robert Belgrave and James Rossell in 2010. In his current role, he focuses on the technology used inside a business (hardware and software, infrastructure) that shapes its technical direction.
A proud father and husband, Simon studied computing at Basingstoke College of Technology and is certified by Cisco and VMWare. He has served as a director of the community workshop Reading Makerspace, founded the AltNet UK community, and wrote a book on drones in UK Search and Rescue. He is also learning to fly.
