As enterprises expand their mobile ecosystems and face rising cyber threats, integrating mobile security into broader enterprise defense strategies has become increasingly important. Quokka’s entry into the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association highlights a growing focus on strengthening mobile application security within unified cybersecurity frameworks.

Quokka, a company specializing in mobile app risk and security, has announced that it has joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, a global ecosystem of security vendors that integrate their solutions with Microsoft Security technologies. The move is aimed at enhancing collaboration across the cybersecurity landscape and improving how organizations detect and manage threats across mobile environments.

As part of this membership, Quokka’s mobile app vetting platform, Q scout, integrates with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Sentinel to provide deeper visibility into mobile application risks across enterprise environments. The platform is designed to automatically analyze mobile applications and identify potential vulnerabilities, including privacy risks, insecure configurations, risky third party software development kits, hardcoded credentials, and improper encryption practices.

By combining its platform with Microsoft’s security tools, Quokka enables organizations to gain actionable insights into the mobile applications operating within their ecosystems. This integration allows security teams to assess risk more effectively and take informed action based on validated intelligence, improving their ability to secure endpoints and protect sensitive enterprise data.

Vijay Pawar, Senior Vice President of Product at Quokka, emphasized the importance of extending security coverage to mobile applications. “Becoming a member of MISA reflects Quokka’s commitment to helping enterprises secure their mobile environments as part of a broader, integrated security strategy,” said Vijay Pawar, SVP of Product at Quokka. “By aligning Q-scout with Microsoft Security technologies, we are enabling customers to extend their security posture to the mobile apps running across their ecosystems and to make informed, risk-based decisions.”

The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association brings together independent software vendors and security service providers to collaborate on improving cybersecurity outcomes. By integrating solutions across identity, endpoint, cloud, and mobile layers, the association aims to help organizations strengthen prevention, detection, and response capabilities in an increasingly complex threat environment.

Maria Thomson, Director of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, highlighted the role of collaboration in addressing modern cybersecurity challenges. “The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association has grown into a vibrant ecosystem comprised of the most reliable and trusted security vendors across the globe,” said Maria Thomson, Director, Microsoft Intelligent Security Association at Microsoft. “Our members, like Quokka, share Microsoft’s commitment to collaboration within the cybersecurity community to improve our customers’ ability to predict, detect, and respond to security threats faster.”

The addition of Quokka to the association reflects the growing importance of securing mobile applications as part of enterprise risk management. With mobile apps increasingly relying on third party components and complex supply chains, organizations face new challenges in identifying hidden vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance.

Originally established in 2018, the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association continues to expand its ecosystem of partners working together to combat cyber threats. Quokka’s participation reinforces the need for integrated security approaches that address risks across all digital touchpoints, including mobile applications.

As cyber threats continue to evolve and mobile usage grows, the integration of mobile app security into broader enterprise frameworks will play a critical role in helping organizations protect data, maintain compliance, and strengthen their overall cybersecurity posture.
