At Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Huawei introduced its Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Solution, a new platform designed to strengthen campus network security in the evolving AI-driven digital environment. Alongside this announcement, Huawei also revealed the first commercial release of its AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 Access Point, a next-generation wireless product aimed at improving network reliability, performance, and usability for modern enterprise campuses.

AI-Driven Security Across Campus Networks
Huawei designed the Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Solution to provide end-to-end protection across multiple layers of campus infrastructure. First, the solution focuses on asset security by automatically identifying devices connected to the network, including so-called “dumb terminals” that typically lack strong security controls. Using cluster identification technology, the system can detect such devices with up to 95% accuracy. In addition, behavioral anomaly detection combined with local inference on network switches allows the system to recognize suspicious device activity within seconds and block potential intrusions before they spread.
Next, the solution enhances connection security by integrating advanced wireless protection technologies. For example, Huawei’s Wi-Fi Shield technology helps prevent data interception at the physical layer. Furthermore, the platform combines end-to-end MACsec encryption with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to ensure long-term data protection, even as quantum computing capabilities continue to advance.
Expanding Security Beyond the Network
Beyond device and connection protection, Huawei also introduced new capabilities focused on spatial security. With the Xinghe system, a single wireless access point can evaluate the security status of physical spaces within a campus environment. This allows organizations to detect unauthorized activities in real time, improving situational awareness across offices, campuses, and other managed spaces.
Additionally, Huawei addressed growing concerns around privacy protection. Its iGuard access point can detect illegal video recording devices, including hidden cameras, helping protect sensitive environments such as executive offices, meeting rooms, and hotel spaces from surveillance threats.

Alongside the security platform, Huawei showcased several new campus networking products. The AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 access point introduces Intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse (iCSSR) technology, which reduces co-channel interference and significantly improves overall network performance. Moreover, Smart Beamforming technology tracks user movement within milliseconds, ensuring stable connectivity even in highly mobile environments.
Another innovation is the Advanced Same Frequency Network (ASFN) capability, which virtualizes multiple access points into a single “super access point.” As a result, users experience seamless connectivity across the network with zero roaming interruptions.
Huawei also introduced CloudEngine Twins switches, designed to increase network reliability. These dual-redundant switches use a multi-switch fabric architecture that enables sub-second failover and non-disruptive system upgrades. Consequently, organizations can maintain uninterrupted service delivery while ensuring high network performance.
