Zetrix AI Berhad and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology have unveiled a blockchain based trust protocol designed to support artificial intelligence agents that can act, transact, and communicate on behalf of individuals and enterprises. The initiative was introduced at the World Internet Conference Asia Pacific in Hong Kong, positioning the platform as foundational infrastructure for next generation digital ecosystems.
At the center of the announcement is Avatar, a platform that enables users to create AI powered digital twins trained on their personality, knowledge, and communication style. These agents can interact with other systems and users while operating within a verified identity framework that ensures authenticity and accountability. The system integrates blockchain technology to validate credentials, permissions, and digital assets used by these agents.
CZ Wong, Chief AI Officer of Zetrix AI and architect of Avatar, described the platform as a trust layer that allows autonomous agents to function securely across digital environments. Built on a hybrid framework and integrated with the Astron and Zetrix blockchains, the system enables access to verifiable credentials such as identity records, professional qualifications, and digital assets.
The launch reflects a broader industry shift from chatbot driven interactions toward autonomous AI systems capable of executing workflows, negotiating outcomes, and representing users in real time. By introducing a trust protocol, the Zetrix CAICT blockchain AI trust layer aims to address growing concerns around impersonation, data integrity, and unauthorized actions in open AI ecosystems.

The platform also introduces an open agent marketplace where developers can publish specialized AI agents, expanding the ecosystem and enabling broader adoption. A CAICT certified security framework is expected to further strengthen enterprise confidence by ensuring compliance and reliability standards.
