VMRay has announced its membership in the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), a global network of security vendors and partners collaborating to enhance cyber defense through integrated solutions. The move reflects VMRay’s growing alignment with Microsoft security technologies, particularly through integrations with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. These integrations enable organizations to incorporate advanced malware and phishing analysis into their existing security workflows, improving threat detection and response efficiency.

VMRay specializes in behavior-based analysis, helping security teams validate and enrich alerts by automating complex investigative processes. By adding deeper analysis capabilities to Microsoft’s security stack, the company aims to help organizations reduce alert fatigue, accelerate triage, and make more informed decisions when responding to threats.

Dr. Carsten Willems, CEO and co-founder of VMRay, said the integration allows security teams to gain greater visibility into sophisticated and evasive threats without disrupting established workflows. He emphasized that combining depth of analysis with operational efficiency is critical in modern cybersecurity environments.

The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, established in 2018, brings together leading security providers to create interoperable solutions that can operate at the speed and scale required to combat today’s evolving threat landscape. Members collaborate to improve organizations’ ability to predict, detect, and respond to cyber threats more effectively.

Maria Thomson, Director of MISA at Microsoft, noted that the association continues to expand as a trusted ecosystem of global security vendors committed to collaboration and innovation. She highlighted that partnerships like the one with VMRay help strengthen collective defenses against increasingly complex cyber threats With its inclusion in MISA, VMRay is positioned to extend its reach among enterprises using Microsoft security platforms, while contributing advanced threat analysis capabilities to a broader ecosystem focused on integrated and AI-driven cybersecurity solutions.
